This is what Monday will look like for me.

I've only been swimming maybe 2 -3 times this last month or more. Lightning, pulled muscle in hip, more lightning after muscle healed, and the coup de gras, the pool itself has been closed for 2 weeks for Spring maintenance.

I am in a Slough of Despond.

Sleeping too much, don't ever feel that good hunger, so consequently just eat it seems all the time, can't concentrate or get motivated.

Looking at the 7-10 day forecast, I see PM thunderstorms. I will be there in the mornings.

@chai2,
get in that pool!

just came back from a mile swim at a local school that has a sweet junior Olympic pool no one seems to know about. it's been great cross-training for dance class. I've got the best shoulders in Lavender right now (not a big deal for anyone else - but huge improvement for me). 'Two technique classes, two boot camps and one musicality class. I'm not going to get old graciously. Gracefully, but not graciously. I'm fighting all the way.

@chai2,
after coming back from the pool, I joined Set and Bella on a walk to the Serbian bakery

since I'm now dancing along to a middle-eastern online radio program , I'm not feeling so bad about eating a croissant stuffed with feta . I think I've worked that off at least twice today (and done my zill homework for dance)

Did three low-intensity miles around Lake Quannapowitt on Sunday. Good
thing, too, because we went out to a new Italian restaurant that night and I
had the lasagna.

We're finally getting some sun here. Lifts the spirits.

Now I know it's Spring.

Two-Mile Mike joined me for a run at lunch.
1.4 miles at a 10-minute pace.

How are you swimmers doing?

My shoulders are pretty much ruined, so all I can manage is the side stroke.

@George,
I swam a mile (primarily back stroke since I'm working my shoulders bigtime) Saturday and Sunday. Double dance classes Monday night and last night. One dance class tonight. My biceps/triceps/deltoids and right hip flexor are tired. Rest day tomorrow!

@ehBeth,
A rest day well-earned.
My legs need a day off, too.

Gonna do some upper body today.
