This sort of thing is very popular at offices, but "under the radar".

@George,
I like that final score! Even if that means seed wins our game here.

The ESPN experts have split 6-2 in favor of the Colts.
Thanks for explaining your version of the "squares" thing, George. There are many others.
Too late to organize anything this year but next year we might try something like that here, either "for fun" or -with a modest investment-a thing where winners could direct the proceeds towards some charities.

Next year? Ha! I am concerned about making it through this weekend. The forecast for Cville is 18-28 inches of snow beginning Friday morning and continuing through Saturday night. If that isn't bad enough, it is predicted to be a wet/heavy snow which will undoubtedly take out a bunch of power lines.
Aaaaarrggghhhh!

Realjohnboy: Hunker down. Don't shovel anything until Sunday morning. Eat well. Watch the game. Dat's all.

@Joe Nation,
My strategy, Joe, has always been to go out every hour or so and scrape off the previous hour's dumping. An inch or two at a time rather than waiting for the whole shebang to be over.
I went to Kroger this afternoon. The checkout lines were 15 people deep. I left.
I probably have enough stuff to survive for a few days.
But I may need help from the likes of Osso to figure out how to make something from what is in my pantry.
I thought about going to a hotel for a couple of days. The Red Roof Inn near my shop (which will not be open if this event happens) has covered parking and is near many eateries. But it, like most other near in hotels is now full.

@George,
I am.

I read something about the Saints coach planning to rough up Manning as a strategy and that pissed me off. I think the Saints played dirtier than necessary vs. the Vikings. I dislike "injure the star player" as a game strategy, sound as it may be.

@sozobe,
... that said, I won't be watching and don't care that much about the outcome. It'd be nice to see JPB's happiness if the Saints win for example.

@sozobe,
The "remember me" hits.

It won't be easy with Peyton Manning. He gets rid of the ball fast. The Saints
appear willing to give 15 for a late hit just to make a point, but that could
prove costly. Also, Manning is willing to hit the dirt on his own when he
senses a hit coming and he has no one open.

@George,
Cheering for the Colts?
No.
I predict they are going to win. um. 35-17.

Manning, annoying as he is, is the best QB ever.

Joe(wouldn't it be Cool if dem Saints scored a couple of quickies and put ponies back on their heels? Nope. Manning loves that....)Nation
