Home safe.

Aged cares facilities can be pretty sad places at Christmas lunch. A lot of oldies with no family there at all. But I can see the staff tried their best to make the occasion as festive as possible & for that I'm grateful.

My little house looks very warm & inviting tonight.

Tired from a lot of travel in one day & a little melancholy about the rest.

Less then 6 hours of my Christmas to go. Counting down ... Smile

@Izzie,
Thanks. Not too much choice in that, Iz. The travel as much as the rest ... frazzled.

What about you? All ready for the big day? Presents all wrapped & everything? Smile

@msolga,
Yep, here with me, myself and I Razz - little fella will be back with me tomorrow. Covered in sheet ice everywhere - so not going out unless the roads thaw a bit Shocked Sun is shining - it's stunning out there - still white! If I can, I'm going to drive to the beach. Very Happy

And why not, Iz? I mean, it sounds perfect beach weather to me! Wink Razz

Seriously though, the beach would probably be spectacular on a day like this! You & your camera would just love it, I'm certain. Smile

Just be extra careful driving on icey roads, hear?

Hugs to the little fella, the splendid critter menagerie and Ms Penny. (You gonna take all of them to the beach with you, too? )

@msolga,
No no, little fella is at his at his PaPa's - but Penny will come with me - just went out and looked at the ice - hmmmmmmmm - thick ice - and frrrreezing - hoping the sun will thaw the roads but we got no "gritters" in the country and a few big hills - just a few! Razz Will be careful - may just try and get up onto the moors if I can't get to the beach.

Will hug the little fella for you when he comes home tomorrow. Very Happy

@Izzie,
Ooops, when you said "tomorrow" I was going by (exceedingly slow!) official A2k time. (still new year's eve, I see.) Which I thought meant your little fella would be spending Christmas day with you. (Goodness, this time zone thing is challenging! Neutral Wink )

Anyway, all clear now!

Thanks, & I expect you to honor that (hug) promise, hear? Smile

Have a good one, Iz!

@msolga,
How'd it go Msolga?

I had a great day!

Your littler paws must be exhausted from all that running around.

I'm exhausted from swimming.

Yes? Very Happy

Tell me more!

Swimming, hey?

It went pretty much as I expected, Deb. (But I think my mother's memory is deteriorating.)
Now I'm very stuffed from all that driving. I will sleep soundly tonight!

@msolga,
Very casual and laid back....prawns and crayfish and oysters....the swimming was in this contraption my friends have.

It's uglier than you can imagine, but fun to use...it's a GInormous spa.

It has jets that you can turn on which are powerful enough that you can swim with all your might, and stay in one place....or get pushed backwards.

I did a fair bit of swimming.

Sorry it gets tougher with your mum, but hope your sister behaved?

@dlowan,
That sounds such a good way to do Christmas, Deb! And healthy, even! Smile

My sister wasn't there today. But my niece was. That helped.
