So, hello, sorry to be gone so long,
I may rewrite this as some kind of blues.
I've been running all this summer and now through the fall
and I feel like I'm just about back to where we were before.

There's a five mile tomorrow morning
but I'm not real sure about the time.
I'm thinking they should give some kind of warning
some kind of pre-nup, boost up prime.
They just told me yesterday
in an email I deleted as spam
but I'll go to the park extra early, get my number, that who I am.

The odd thing is I think it's the last qualifier
I need nine you know to be in next year
It's the kind of thing that could inspire
if I felt like I'd be there, like I could be there.

But the way things are in this City
I can't stop to tell you all what going on.
There's no way to say without being Walter Mitty
who'll be on the line
and who will be somewhere out of space and time,
next year.
