Let me know how your sex change operation goes, and how it affects your running?

I have got to read these damned applications more closely. I heard the doctor say something about a nip and tuck but I thought it was a new name for a martini. So far it's working out. Much (MUCH) more room in my shorts, but all of my tee-shirts keep bunching up under my bra.

I too am running the 10k/4m weekend.

speaking of 10k's...

i mapped out my work-to-home walking route.
lo and behold it comes to almost exactly 6.2 miles.

it's ~ 1 hour 45 min walk.
we're talking crowded sidewalks, lotsa traffic lights.

i should get enough forced stops to make it home in one piece.
plus, i can always hop on pub tran if necessary...

@Region Philbis,
Bounce at the red lights....stop thinking about how far it is, see how many minutes you can stay in "comfortable motion".
Sing.
It will keep you breathing at the right pace and will give passersby something to talk about at dinner.

Jogged five miles at lunch today. That's the longest I've gone in a while.
Used to be I'd say " I didn't have much time so I only did five." Now I say,
"I had some extra time, so I did five." Five's longer than it once was.

@George,
Yeah, and I noticed that when they repaved my street the incline angle of all the hills increased by about 4°.

@Joe Nation,
I think it's the tee shirts we get for running races. They make the earth longer and steeper.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Jogged at lunch. The temps were in the high eighties. I was NOT ready
for weather that warm.

@Region Philbis,
We ran a 5K today.

And ....

wait for it ...

we both got medals!

And not just finisher medals.

RP won his division (males 45 - 49).

I came in 3rd in mine (females 45 - 49).

Keep in mind, there was only one person in RP's division, and four in mine, but still!

@jespah,
Terrific! And you both look great. Jes, l like your hair that length a lot. (Me, I cut mine once a year, so depending on the month, it's short or longish)

@jespah,
Damn....45-49 NO ONE else showed up?
Crap.... I thought when I got to 65-69 age group that would happen to me.
Not in New York.
20o+ geezers show up to every race.

Joe(bummed)Nation

oh.
yes.
PS: Congratulations on your win and J's third place. Mr. Green with envy.
