@Thomas,
October 1, 2011 Running for Someone Else's Life

This is the Good Samaritans run. We are running for Joanne Dorel this year. I made a team called A2K. The password is A2K2011 (I don't think the team means much, just figured it would be nice).

Register and get info here: https://sna.etapestry.com/fundraiser/Samaritans/5K2011/aboutEvent.do

This run is in Brighton, MA, at Artesani Park. Smile

@JPB,
Thank you! The gal who came in last was in a regular wheelchair. It's a somewhat rough terrain course. Man, did we cheer for her when she came in - nice gal, she's training for the Marathon in April. Smile

Rhys and I were hoping to do this one but I've got a wedding in
Cow Hampshire that day.

@Region Philbis,
OK, we'll shoot for that one.

Today, my man Rhys and I did two miles. That's the farthest he's ever run.
There was a short rest break early on as I slipped on a curb and took a fall.
Two cars stopped and the drivers asked if I was OK. It was a bit
embarrassing, but I appreciated their concern.

Next milestone: two and a quarter.
(Don't tell Rhys.)
