Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chris Henry is "battling for his life" after falling out of the back of a pickup truck Wednesday during what police described as a domestic dispute with his fiancee.

Henry was found in the road about eight miles north of downtown Charlotte "apparently suffering life-threatening injuries," according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police. Police spokesman Robert Fey said officers were stationed near the 26-year-old Henry's hospital room. He had no information on Henry's condition, but said he was alive.

"We ask everyone to pray for Chris," agent Andy Simms of PlayersRep Sports said in a statement. "We also ask that you respect the privacy of Chris' family. Chris is indeed battling for his life tonight, and our thoughts and prayers (are) with him during this extremely difficult time."

Police said a dispute began at a home just before noon and Henry jumped into the bed of the pickup truck as his fiancee " whom they did not identify by name " was driving away from the residence.

"The domestic situation continued between the operator and Mr. Henry," the police said in a statement. "At some point while she was driving, Mr. Henry came out of the back of the vehicle."

he passed this morning... RIP.

We are missing the expert picks (for at least tonight's game) from Mr and Miz Cowdo, ELstud, JPinMilw and JPB.
If you happen to run into any of them, let them know time is running short.
Tico also owes us his pick in the Dallas - New Orleans game.

Arizona
Kansas City
Tennessee
Houston
New York Jets
Philadelphia
Denver

Had a hell of a time deciding on the Titans, Jets, and Steelers. Probably will miss all three. I'll try to get the Miz in on time.

@realjohnboy,
We were at one point tonight in the pub discussing the fact that a large number of streets in England do not have a number 13 and I got to wondering whether whoever finishes 13 th in the standings might think that we had put the hex on them.

Do American streets miss out number 13?

Hotels don't have a 13th floor. That I know (or maybe it is an urban myth).
We in this game have no one in 13th right now.

@Region Philbis,
I don't know what to say about Henry except Rest in Peace. He seemed to be on the right track now, as many have mentioned in reports. Hard death. And I'm glad the last part wasn't prolonged, not that I have any information.

JPB couldn't get to A2K, but she let me know that she is going, with everything in her guts, for the toilet seats.
