Anyone watching that game? I don't have a tv. Is weather a factor, or are the Steelers just impotent?

I saw the first half and a bit of the 3rd Q. It was too cold. The tackling was hopeless. Those temperatures are bad enough for proper football where players are in action for 90 minutes but all that standing around isn't going to get anybody warmed up. The lungs burn at 15 degrees.

Not that it mattered if we were all on the Steelers.

@mysteryman,
It would seem reasonable to assume that mm would have picked the Steelers.

Yes, I would have.

Who won, BTW? And what was the final score?

@panzade,
I just moved to No. VA this week...for good (moving in with my g/f. who is retiring in 2 weeks after 32 yrs of teaching.)
Saw my first Wash Wizzards game. They played the Celts. Close game, too. Awesome seats. and great stadium Verizon Center. A fiend of hers works at Verizon center and gets tickets. I will see the Waxh Caps play really soon.

Go Caps, go Wizards ('cept when playing Celts), go Nationals, go George Mason Patriots.

Oh yeah! Here's my lit of week 14 picks:

New Orleans
Baltimore
Green Bay
Houston
Indianapolis
Jax Jags (hate this pick)
Kansas City
Minnesota (best competitive matchup)
New England
New York Jets
Tennessee
Skins (Is it too late to save Zorn’s job?)
San Diego
Philadelphia (toss up)

Monday's Tiebreaker
Arizona 24, San Francisco 17

@Ragman,
congrats. NOVA was my old stomping grounds. The town is sports crazy.
Here's a tip if you go to a Capitals Flyers game. Be wary of the Flyers fans . They take the Metroliner down in droves and generally manhandle the Caps fans.

hey everyone, just stopped in to congratulate all the Boston fans on the new super-baby...

from yahoo ~

"FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP)"Tom Brady(notes) is back on the practice field.

The New England Patriots quarterback returned to practice on Friday after missing the previous two sessions with right finger, right shoulder and rib injuries. Brady was listed as questionable on the injury report for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

Brady has a lot going on this week. His wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen (jih-ZEHL’ BUN’-chen), gave birth on Tuesday to their son.

Brady went to the locker room with an arm injury early in last week’s loss to the Miami Dolphins, but didn’t miss a play and finished 19 for 29 for 352 yards and two touchdowns. The 7-5 Patriots hold a one-game lead over the Dolphins and New York Jets in the AFC East."

(also thought the pronunciation thingy might help the non-amurrican speakers in the group,)
