@realjohnboy,
I'm timing my run up the outside. Once I hit the front that's it.

Andy/Clubber was talking today about the NFL's "Flexible Scheduling." They can move games from early to late or vice versa on Sunday's on pretty short notice. Sometimes that is due to weather or something. It must play a bit of havoc with ticket holders as well as municipal workers in the home team city. And then he mentioned the Sunday night game.
I checked into his claim. The NFL, beginning in Week #11 each season, can move a game from early or late on Sunday to the Sunday night slot, which is the most watched game on tv. The NFL must announce the switch on a Tuesday at least a week in advance. So the game last night (11/29) between the Steelers and Colts would have had to have been announced on 11/17 if it was moved.
When they get to something like Week #16 out of 17, the NFL gets to make the move only 6 days in advance of the game being played.
Next Sunday night's game pits the Vikings vs the Cardinals.

@realjohnboy,
I feel quite confident Johnny that the higher reaches of the standings can handle six days notice. It hardly matter about the rest.

I am guessing Roethlisberger will play in the next Steelers game.

@edgarblythe,
I expect so. Ben is my Fantasy League QB and the Steelers face Cleveland and Oakland next. I needed a QB quickly and picked up Ben's replacement (Dixon) who didn't do badly for me.
I still will lose the week there to Jespah.

Pretty good game, eh? NE went for the first down on 4th and short twice. And made it. The Saints did once, and made it, leading to a TD.
Bedtime for Johnboy. I wish I could stay awake long enough to see how it plays out.
Al Groh did indeed get fired from the coaching job at UVA Sunday. He walks away with a $2M buyout, paling in comparison with the $6M the Notre Dame coach will get after his dismissal.
If yall would like to fire me from running this, please take up a collection and let me know how much has been raised.

@Region Philbis,
In the great dome that survived the flood,

their flag to ‘N’Orleans’ Brees unfurled,

here once the embattled Patriots stood,

and were hit by the shot heard round the world

@Region Philbis,
Amen, Region. I didn't think the Aints were ready to perform on the national stage against the likes of the Pats after they damned near let the Lambs come back on them. Sadly, my prognostication of other game results was no better than that conclusion. I'm a believer - there ain't no Aints in Nawlins no more - just in Salmon. [sigh]

Week #12 turned out to be a fine week for us as a group. We finished with a winning record 0f .729 which is not too far behind the .751 we tallied in Week #4. Maporsche, Spendius and Fox did really well, going 14-2. Based on the 1st tiebreaker Maporsche wins his 3rd week of the season. Well done!
McGentrix, Johnboy, Panzade, Osso and Ragman came in at 13-3. EhBeth, Fbaezer, JPB, Wandeljw and Mysteryman put together 12-4 records. Clubber, Cowdoc, Tico, Miz Cowdoc, JPinMilwaukee, Liontamerx, Region, Alex and Lmur finished at 11-5. ElStud, Rhyss, George and Jespah managed to go 10-6 while Edgar could only manage a 9-7 mark.
We embarrassed the ESPN experts. The best picker there ended 12-4 while the worst only broke even at 8-8.
