Yeah, but that was a couple of lifetimes ago. I left Netawaka for Manhattan in 1969, and left Manhattan for North Dakota in 1975. I've now been in Salmon for 32 years as of a week ago. I've only been back a couple of times since then. Things look a whole bunch different now, especially in (what used to be) Aggieville.
Well, I hope you stayed clear of 9th Street over in Junction City!

Good afternoon.
I expected Week #9 to shape up as one of our better weeks. Alas, it didn't turn out that way. As a group we went 212-139 which was good for a winning record of .603. That's the 2nd sub par week in a row.
McGentrix finished at 10-3, misfiring only in his picks of Chicago, Baltimore and Green Bay. Nice job. Fbaezer, Liontamerx, Rhyss, Panzade, Clubber and Maporsche came in at 9-4.
There were a bunch of 8-5 efforts: Jespah, Miz Cowdoc, Wandeljw, Region, JPinMilw, Ehbeth, Cowdoc, Johnboy and Tico. A bunch plus one managed to go 7-6: Mysteryman, Edgar, Imur, George, JPB, Fox, Ragman, ElStud, Osso and Spendius.
And then there was Alex who staggered in at 6-7.
Several of the ESPN dudes finished at 10-3 while the worst guy went 8-5.

Here are the standings after 9 weeks of this. We are half way home.

1) McGentrix (94-35 .729) extends his lead to 4 games. We must stop him;
2) Spendius (90-39 .698) stumbles and now has company in 2nd place;
2) Maporsche moves up a notch from 3rd;
4) Tico (89-40 .690) slips from 3rd but is just a game out of 2nd;
4) Johnboy had been tied with Tico for weeks and still is;
4) Clubber moves up from 6th;
7) Osso (87-42 .675) gives up a little ground from 6th;
7) Elstud also drops one notch;
7) Cowdoc, for the 2nd week running, gains 2 more spots;
10) Panzade (86-43 .667) holds 10th, 1 game back the 7th placers;
10) Rhyss remains tied with Panzade;
12) Ehbeth (85-44 .659) gives up ground, dropping from 10th;
12) Liontamerx gets a nice bounce from 16th;
14) JPinMilw (74-39 .655) climbs one spot;
15) Fbaezer (84-45 .652) recovers ground lost in Week 8, rising from 18th;
15) Region falls from 16th;
15) Ragman takes a bad tumble from 10th (see Fox below);
15) Fox takes a bad tumble from 10th (see Ragman above);
19) JPB (82-47 .636) loses a step from 18th;
19) George does likewise;
19) Wandeljw moves up 2 from 21st;
19) Miz Cowdoc matchs that performance;
23) Imur (78-51 .605) remains in 23rd;
24) Jespah (77-52 .597) stays in 24th which was the cellar last week;
25) Edgar (76-53 .590) slips from 24th but is out of the tie at the bottom;
25) Mysteryman has the same disstinction;
27) Alex (75-54 .582) enjoyed having Jespah, Edgar and Mysteryman down for a party in the basement last week. But now they are gone and all he has left is a hangover and empty PBR and Cheeze-Whiz cans.

The best ESPN guy is at .690 which would put him in the tie for 4th. The worst picker there, with his .644 record, would be in 19th.

We have, with one exception, picked 129 games through Week #9. In Week #10 there are 15 games which would bring us to a gross. (Cue the shameless pandering music). That is assuming that folks remember to get in on the Thursday night game (day after tomorrow). The tabulation gets a bit more tedious if I have to use more than one divisor.
Good luck to everyone...except McGentrix, whom I don't like.

This week is #10. The NFL for several weeks has scheduled games for Thursdays.
We usually post the schedule for the week on Tuesday, after the completion of the prior week. The Thursday game would leave a very narrow window of time for yall to post if we go by the "picks must be in by the start of the 1st game" rule.

This week you can choose the complete schedule or just pick the Thursday game, filling in the rest of your picks by Sunday.

The Schedule for Week #10:
Thurs 11/12:
Chicago @ San Francisco PICK DUE BY THURSDAY AT 8 PM ET
Sunday 11/15 -early:
Detroit @ Minnesota
Cincinnati @ Pittsburgh
Jacksonville @ NY Jets
New Orleans @ St Louis
Buffalo @ Tennessee
Tampa Bay @ Miami
Atlanta @ Carolina
Denver @ Washington
late:
Kansas City @ Oakland
Dallas @ Green Bay
Seattle @ Arizona
Philadelphia @ San Diego
Sunday night:
New England @ Indianapolis
Monday night:
Baltimore @ Cleveland (+ score)

Again, there is no need to panic, folks. I just need to get yall's picks for the Bears vs 49ers game by Thursday afternoon.

@realjohnboy,
Might I suggest Johnnie that if anyone fails to pick the Thursday game in time they could be deemed to have picked what the rankings table leader has picked.

It's like using an attack turtle.
