@realjohnboy,
Close, but no cigar. As an adolescent girl, I went wild over a Notre Dame quarterback. And in college, went to a rose bowl game or two. Before all that my father took me to a Rams game and a Dodgers game. And to Hollywood Park to see Swaps. Plus to Rancho Park to learn to hit a golf ball.

I have been attached to sports, but not hand in glove.

So, JohnBoy, I did get to a game. I was part of Arnie's Army in my teens, and did get to a few venues. Not a total schlump, but also not entirely not following. Don't paint me and maybe others as sans history. That's not a snarl, just a 'shape up'.

No, no, don't be quiet. Yell back at me. I'd never seriously admonish you, what a horrible idea.

Remember to guess the final score in that last game. Deadline for all games is before the kick-off of the 1st game.
New players still welcome but this is probably the last chance.
Thank you.

@realjohnboy,
rjb, i'm having internet troubles, and anticipate them only getting worse.

don't see me being able to live up to my commitment for the whole season, so ima quit while i'm behind.

that way there should not ought to be any contemplating of motives or strategizing.

ya'll have fun now, ya hear?

@Rockhead,
RH, internet connections in the intermountain rural areas are usually crappy at best, but we can generally find ten or fifteen minutes of uptime during the week. Any chance of your being able to do likewise? We'd sure like you aboard!

Live from the studio of A2K NFL football...
Happy Sunday to the 27 of the 28 who have picked so far. I am hopeful that Rockhead will join.
We here in the mountains of Virginia woke up to clearing skies after 3 days of steady drizzle. Hungry Mother weather in the lore of our family.
By game time in an hour it should be sunny.
We are largely in agreement about this week's games. The closest things to toss-ups are Denver @ Oakland and Indy @ AZ where we are split 18-9 in favor of the visiting teams, and Atlanta @ NE where by a 19-8 split we lean towards NE.
I am so tempted to switch my pick from NE to Atlanta what with R Moss and W Welker being questionable and T Brady looking a bit unproductive in his 1st two games back.
On the other hand, we are unanimous in picking Green Bay and Baltimore this week. Only Rhyss has KC over Philly while his dad, George, stands alone in taking Tampa Bay over NYGiants.
Jespah and Liontamerx are the only two players picking Buffalo to beat New Orleans.
Region, Fox and Maporsche have Seattle over Chicago and Maporsche, Clubber and JPinMilw have Miami whipping San Diego.

Going the other way, Mysteryman and Spendius agree with the majority on all 16 games! Edgar, Ehbeth, ElStud, Fbaezer, Ragman and Panzade agree with the majority on 15 of the games, but disagree amongst themselves as to which game they diverge from the vast majority on. (Have I confused everyone?)
JPinMilw is the renegade this week, disagreeing with the majority on 6 games, followed by Jespah and George with 5.
