Call me a hypocrit, but I have dated a couple of commie chics (what the hell . . . )
and an uncle-in-law was a nazi. The FBI found a flag bearing a swastika
in his underwear drawer, during the Second World War.
He was not criminally prosecuted because he did not
do anything unlawful.
He just had his opinions. He came from Germany during the 1920s.
With my family being of English derivation, he
gloated over
the progress of the Second World War, at
its beginning.
He used to taunt: "they are really giving it to the British, aren 't they ?"
referring to the bombing. We had some relatives remaining in England.
However, he tended to more pervasive silence toward the end of the war.
Anyway, on a personal basis, he was pleasant, intellectual,
and I enjoyed debating with him at family re-unions.
I argued for libertarian,
laissez faire capitalism and Individualism.
He argued for collectivism, but he was polite and friendly;
to my mind, that is
determinative as to whether a social relationship will endure.
I remember (at least) one guy on Abuzz who shared a lot of my political ideology,
but who polluted Abuzz continually with an unending succession of obscene language.
He was worthy of being put on Ignore, as were perverted leftists
who did the same thing. Leftists and Rightists were reciprocally
attributing various forms of sexual perversity to one another.
It was tiresome. I admit that u can get a kick out of the lunatic fringe.
My only criteria for being thrown in the Ignore Dungeon in this forum
are: (1)
obscene, scatological language, and (2) incomprehensibility.
Some people are inarticulate; some are aliens unfamiliar with English.
If its too much work to figure out what someone has in mind,
I don 't wanna have to look at that. I don 't get paid for this.
