Yesterday I was on the phone for 2 hours to some one who reports to me. One hour of which he was venting. He did tell me he was venting in part. But it annoyed me because he has a good situation going and doesn't even realize it. He just bought a house, a puppy, getting married in a couple of months and is taking a 2 week vacation to Italy. Stop complaining that you haven't gotten (although granted a deserved) promotion - have you read the papers lately, bonehead???! You are lucky to have a job and to be able to afford all this stuff. You will get a raise this year (although it will be low) - I won't (and he knows this as emails did state that certain levels would not get raises). Now shut the h*ll up and get back to work. I have too much crap to do than to listen to some spoiled brat complain - so stop your whining and do something production!
