It is habit forming, but it's never been about security for me... I just like them.

I do too.

I have been accosted at gunnery ranges
qua the BEAUTY of my ordnance, by the police, inter alia;
like my 2 inch blued .38 revolver with cherrywood handles
and gold plated trigger, hammer n cylinder release latch.

Then there 's my 9mm Luger P-'08 from 1940,
showing some signs of finger wear, with the same serial #
on all numbered parts, including magazine,
and my Ruger .357 Blackhawk and Ruger .44 magnum Super Blackhawk.

As a primary personal defense weapon,
I like my 2 inch .44 stainless steel mirror Taurus Model 445 loaded with hollowpointed slugs.

Then there is my little 9 round .22 Taurus revolver.

My first gun, that I 've since age 8, is a 2 inch .38 Smith & Wesson Model 36 revolver

Almost looks like the surest way to save GM and Chrysler would be to allow them to start manufacturing firearms.....

It would better serve the citizens if PrezBO would have GM and Chrysler manufacture ammunition.... lots of ammunition.

Re-posting my question to the lady who started this thread, and hoping for the courtesy of a reply!

The "lady who started this thread" started the discussion with this:

"How much longer will it take.....for the penny to drop?: Easy access to guns leads to far too many easy killings of innocent people.:" (first post to the thread)

I hope that clears things up for you, High Seas. The lateness of my response to you is not due to a lack of courtesy. I simply lost all interest in this thread quite a few pages back (along with quite a few others, apparently) & missed your post.

@H2O MAN,
Well, no, it hasn't.

Might be a good time to turn off the updates for this thread, as I really have lost interest. Glad to have found High Seas' post & responded to it, though.

None of us were really interested in your biased opinions, but we are all glad that
you brought the sinister back story on gun control into the light of day here on A2K.

@msolga,
Yeah, it is hard to stay interested in a topic when your POV gets completely destroyed; especially if you're not at all open to changing your mind, or seriously considering other peoples POV.

'Completely destroyed?' Is that what you think happened?

@Cycloptichorn,
In a nutshell.

Now that's not to say that there aren't some decent arguments to gun control (very few that I agree with, but that's irrelevant). It's just that msolga hadn't presented any.
