@farmerman,
Maria Butina was also seen entering a Costco and purchasing several products including, but not limited to; Tide laundry detergent, Soy Milk, Potato Chips and Borsch. Costco representatives have been mum on what else Maria Butina may have done while inside the store and have not denied that she may have spoken with the store manager.

Don't be silly. There is nothing corrupt or immoral about defending people's civil rights.

@oralloy,
what they actually do is defend people;s murders. That is both corrupt and immoral. That's why all their tame legislators lost their cushy government gigs.

The NRA does no such thing.

NRA-friendly legislators from rural districts kept their jobs.

@MontereyJack,
Trump bans 'bump stocks' used in mass Las Vegas shooting
Quote:
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Trump administration said on Tuesday it had banned the high-power gun attachments used in last year’s Las Vegas shooting that killed 58 people, giving the owners of “bump stocks” 90 days to turn in or destroy the devices and blocking owners from being able to register them.

President Donald Trump’s Republican Party typically supports gun ownership, and its members have fiercely fought off perceived threats to the U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment guaranteeing Americans the right to bear arms.

His administration, though, is sidestepping any potential debate in Congress in issuing a final rule on Tuesday that adds bump stocks to a definition of machine guns written 80 years ago, during the heyday of gangsters’ use of “tommy guns.” The attachments use a gun’s recoil to bump its trigger, enabling a semiautomatic weapon to fire hundreds of rounds per minute, which many say transforms the firearm into a machine gun.

The >Atlas of American Gun Violence< maps five years of American gun violence, during which time there has been over 150,000 shootings.

@Walter Hinteler,
What's funny about that map, is that a majority of the shootings have happened in major population centers, you know those places controlled by the Democrats.

@Baldimo,
I don't consider any shooting funny, especially when persons died or got wounded as a result, wherever it happened and whoever is in charge there.

Besides that: you were able to look up all those places and their local government in such a short time?

Shootings aren't funny, the people pushing more gun laws in places that already have a lot of gun laws are funny.

I don't have to look all of them up, I know which cities are which and who mostly runs them. Do you have some information that contradicts what I said? Cities like Chicago, Atlanta, Baltimore are all run by DNC flunkies and those are the cities with the most shootings and they have been run by them for decades.

@Walter Hinteler,
superimpose the gun death map over a map of "where the people live". Ialways get a thrill that the GOP promotes such Bullshit about how red is the politics ofa place like Mt Katahdin.

BALDOMO, your belief about CDC is FOS. The CDC was strippd of funding by A GOP congress after threts by the NRA in 1996. you should Read moreand Bullshit less.

If you want to look at the states they appear red, but the cities the violence takes place in are indeed in DNC controlled cities. Do you really think all of those gangs vote for the GOP?

I've read the Dickey Amendment and we shouldn't use the CDC as a way to limit our Constitutional rights. If they want to study use as opposed to gun violence then I have no problem with that. What you want is a study that only talks about bad aspects of guns and nothing about DGU. There has already been one study put out by the CDC on guns back in 2013 and you and the other gun grabbers/MSM won't talk about it because it doesn't support your views on guns. I'll support a gun study that only provides facts on all uses of guns, not just the violence aspect.

The shootings are where people are, which is cities. The NR A and SCOTUS conspire toprevent cities from doing anything about it

@MontereyJack,
If your only answer is to take away the 2nd Amendment, then the SCOTUS is doing it's job of protecting the Constitution from unconstitutional gun restrictions and grabs. Did you see that a Federal Court recently ruled that nunchucks are constitutional protected armaments and ruled against a 1973 restriction on them in NY? You hate the NRA because they bring the unconstitutional laws to the SCOTUS and rule against.

The cities aren't even trying to do anything about it.

The only thing the left is trying to do is violate people's civil liberties for fun. They aren't trying to save any lives.

You are stuck in a half circle. Wouldn't a study on use also consist of violence? A general study should tick off all boxes on such a study, it's a shame you want it used only to study violence so you can eliminate the 2nd Amendment. I say unbias study, you say bias study...
You have proven that the Dickey Amendment was the right choice to be made.
