It's not just gun control that's the problem, the guy was an ex marine with suspected PTSD. Inadequate aftercare that reminds me of Vietnam vets who were taken out of the jungle and dumped in downtown America.

It has always been generally accepted, including back in the 80's when fully auto guns were heavily restricted, that the 2nd Amendment applied to the people and not militias, it was the modern day leftists who think the 2nd Amendment doesn't apply to all US citizens, hence their extreme push for the last 20 plus years to get guns banned. It started out with the un-renewed assault weapons ban and has been being pushed since then.

So, basically, you agree that all of the amendments to the Constitution are equally important? That just because an individual or group of individuals may not think so, the country as a whole needs to hold all the amendments equally "holy"?

The Constitution was meant to grow with the nation. The 2nd amendment has gotten out of touch with the situation on the ground. The founders never intended citizens to practice mass murder on a daily basis. Gun control is an urgent necessity.

Gun control is not about preventing murders or saving lives. Gun control advocates simply want to violate people's rights for fun.

The Second Amendment is well in touch with today's America. It was meant to prevent our rights from being violated, and it is doing the job that it was designed to do.

Your calendar is off by a little bit. It has existed for 2600 years.

But yes, the correct interpretation of our rights outweighs interpretations that maliciously pretend that our rights do not exist.

How is a document that was and is intended to limit the power of the Federal govt and allow for maximum individual freedom, meant to grow with the nation? It seems our Constitution is no longer used to limit govt but to grant it permission to limit our liberty.
