Hi all ~

Today, please send good thoughts to a dear friend who's son was killed in an auto accident. He's also survived by his wife and 4 1/2 yr old twins.

We're just back from a wild and windy walk with the dogs down at the beach.

As I was driving home along the lakeshore, I saw a couple of parasailers getting started and a few more literally jumping out of their cars and running down to the water. Nice nice big waves - big winds - storm coming in tonight.

Came home, grabbed Set and the dogs, and headed back down to the water. It was fantastic! This is the part of spring I like. Wind wind wind. Bailey in particular loved it. Given the strength and direction of the winds, we think he was at least sniffing Quebec Very Happy

Snow in the forecast. A bit of a worry as apparently the city has already released some of their salters and sanders from their contract. They're warning everyone to anticipate a very long commute Shocked

@ehBeth,
I was looking at the possibility of snow in your area, ehBeth. Looks like we down here in NE TX will have freezing temps tomorrow night. The weather is crazy.

Maybe the Mayans were right - the world's time line comes to an end on 24 December, 2012. In any case Patti and I are going to celebrate Chistmas on the 23 d. Just to be on the (safe??) side. Big Grin.

@danon5,
oops, today temps a bit warmer {high seventies} and tomorrow rain. Each forecast is different. Who knows. By the end of the day? Snow?

Weather seems consistant for Spring in California, although thunder and lightening storms arn't expected until later during the month.

Yesterday the weather was perfect. No wind, wildlife of all sizes visiting for pellets, Hummingbirds gathering at feeders, and finches waiting patiently for a roost. During the afternoon hours, the herd and I sat on the porch {me reading, they napping} till sunset - listening and watching chirping moms bring their kids to the feeders. A good day.

Beth, keep warm and safe when driving!

@Stradee,
A bit of snow on the commute there and back. Not horrid, but definitely snow in the week before Easter!

It was apparently mostly freezing rain around here ( I work about 50 km north and west of home - so more snow there ), so the dogs didn't get much sashaying time. We'll make it up to them on the weekend.
