@ehBeth,
Well and good. My issue is with acquiring infections and disease while in the hospital. I don't accept that it's just one of those things that is going to happen. Medicare agrees with me. They no longer pay for such, and don't allow hospitals to bill Medicare patients for such, either.

Pardon my cynicism, osso, but it isn't proper to profit from your own errors.

I agree with what Roger is telling us. Before my wife went in for her surgery, the hospital took a bacteria sample in an effort to control such germs and viruses within there. Still, when you have to remind hospita l personell to keep clean hands, you know there's something wrong.

@roger,
You assume that infection was acquired in hospital.
All of this is hearsay with concommittent advice. We've been through this before.
I am really sorry I even mentioned the word infection. That's all personal and particular and I apologize to Dys.
I knew better than to start with details, and hope I've learned my lesson. CoaS.

Past that, Dys is getting better.

Glad to read this Dys. You are fortunate to enjoy lady D's remarkable affection and care. What in the hell have you ever done to deserve it? Cranky SOB.

I bet he is getting by this infection easily because he can eat better. Smile

Which.. is freaking awesome.

I have to say every time I see this thread come up, even if I know it is just gab, my gut sinks.
All I expect to hear is that you (dys-com BOB u lated) are going through something else just as painful , terrible and overwhelming and that things are not getting better.

Instead, I open the thread and its like sitting in your hospital room.
Everyone is standing around gabbing, throwing the occasional piece of food in your face and just enjoying you.

So, stop scaring us. Stop acting up and get home. I wanna come over and raz ya .. Smile

(whispers) I think he's finally sleeping.

I hope Di is also. And Sally and Dante and... the nurses, for that matter. I understand an order for vitals q4, but... geeze! Let him rest.
