I thought it interesting, that the idea was mentioned, that those that are allowed to legally carry a gun would truly benefit a mass shooting situation if they got proper training, so they wouldn't accidentally shoot bystanders, or people fleeing the situation. Would gun holders accept going through such a training effort?

So people who got the extra training would then be authorized to approach and confront a bad guy instead of remaining in a defensive posture?
