for JTT to be right about anything.

Thanks for the U tube; I was not watching that nite.

tom brokaw spoke like he'd had his tongue removed and replaced with a tongue two sizes to big for his mouth

Well - at least he always spells Aidan right.
and YOU got this wrong:

because I, in fact wrote that - and on this forum I am known as Aidan (or Rebecca) - at least you can still spell that...

Anyway - yes- Dana Carvey doing Tom Brokaw always cracked me up - there was an even funnier one where he was pretending to be Tom doing a screen test for his job and he had to read the teleprompter which said something like: 'CH-arold F-hord (Gerald Ford) was attacked and mauled by lions today at his home in MiSH-higan...
(and he goes)....'I'm not reading that - that's not true is it....?' And they make him keep saying it over and over so everyone can laugh at the way he pronounces his consonant blends with such an exhalation of breath....

My kids and I used to walk around saying that to each other and laughing...

That's hardly the point, David. The point relates to your suggestion that all English will be spoken like Brokaw. Things like this don't occur just because some confused, dottering old fool hopes it will be so.

If you thought about these things for longer than a fleeting moment, it would become apparent to you that these ideas of yours are born of ignorance.

Right ?

No, David, not right.

I'm sometimes taken aback by your twisted logic, David.

Countable prosperity is not the only scale by which you can measure achievement and success of a career.

I know many valuable individuals that live on modest revenues, yet they are fully accomplished as human beings.

Concomitantly, I know famous entertainement people whose career I really don't envy..

I'm thinking about going in two weeks time to take my daughter to see her grandparents and pick up my son from the camp he's been working at all summer. Work is busy though - so it'll have to depend if I can get someone to cover for me. If not - it'll be Christmastime.

The twisting was in your mind,
not in my logic, Francis.

Your post silently assumed, in error, that I had denied
that there is more than one possible criterion of flourishing,
when in fact, I did not address that issue.

Is anyone that we know hallucinating?

I use my feelings with a discernment unknown to you, David.

And obviously, my dreams are of a different nature of those you attribute to me.

=================

There are a number of words in this posting of yours, David, that could do with some changes using that magical ability you have for phonetisizing words.

It would also go some distance towards legitimizing your campaign to reform spelling if you had a wee bit of consistency in your "reforms".

How you possibly can connect these premises, is beyond the comprehension skills of a sane human being..
