Joe Lieberman's Speech

You're going to have to find this one on youtube or some such, but it was utterly stunning. Joe Lieberman, the man who ran with Algor against W. eight years ago, basically just told the world and democrats and independents in particular, that this present democrat ticket would be a disaster should they win, and that voting for them would be inconsistent with any sort of a notion of patriotism, common sense, or anything else like that; that John McCain is well qualified to serve as president and that Barrack Obama is massively unqualified.

You're right for once. Huge deficits, crooks in the WH, crooks feeding off the crooks in the WH, wars 'til hell won't have 'em, more death, destruction and mayhem, making the world a more dangerous place, ...

Helluva a job, georgie and you want georgie2.

You can't be any dumber than you appear.

Elect Obama and all of that, plus much more will happen.

@gungasnake,
COUNTRY FIRST.

This is a concept lost on the liberals. It is refreshing to see an objective politician who will see things for what they really are and tell the truth.

Liberman did not leave the Democratic Party. the democratic Party shoved him to the curb.

@Woiyo9,
If Country First is the repub battle cry then why are we rebuilding the Iraqi infrastructure while ours is crumbling?

@Bi-Polar Bear,
Crumbling? Where?

New Orleans is not an example.

PS: I agree, we should not be rebuilding anything in Iraq. Yet, that is a lame excuse but expected from your side.

Translation: I agree with what you're saying, but you're using it in favour of the Democrats, so I'll have to disagree with you...

@Bi-Polar Bear,
Good information but not reflective of "a crumbling society". Nothing listed received a "failing grade" but overall, our infrastructure is getting old.

No one should disagree with that.

One of the Federal and State governments PRIMARY roles is to maintain infrastructure. That is where tax dollars must go.

No argument but the liberals need to tone down the hysteria. The Nation is not falling to pieces.

@H2O MAN,
So that bridge collapsed simply on its own and was not derivative of infrastructure neglient, which is precisely the point that you tried to counter?

Look at your sorry self. You said that America was not crumbling and I showed you a pix from a interstate hiway bridge that actually did, and you refer to it as grabbing at straws.

Try reading, moron.
US Infrastructure Problems Edge Towards Crisis Proportions

Little action as some 160,000 US bridges are considered to be structurally deficient

10 October 2007:
Quote:
In a well-publicized 2005 report, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) concluded that 27 per cent of the almost 600,000 bridges in the US are structurally deficient or functionally obsolete. The report estimated that it would cost US $9 billion annually for 20 years to fix the bridges alone. The collapse of a major bridge in Minneapolis in August 2007, which underscored the warnings of the ASCE study, was only the latest high-profile infrastructure failure in the US.

Is the ASCE simply a bleeding heart liberal lobby group?

dude what do you do each day, eat a big bowl of stupid for breakfast?
