@ehBeth,
Okay.

Um... just because a person has been living under an assumed name after that incident at the Jakarta Embassy all those years ago and the inconvenient fact that the identity I assumed is now long dead or just as disappeared as I've tried to be, the authorities up there won't be all that put off, eh?

Am I right?

Been to Coney Island.
Walked the Brooklyn Bridge.
Went shopping.
Went rollerblading down on the river (her) I did some running ..... .
Amateur Night at the Apollo
A Yankee Game (Yankees lost. YAY!)
Did a road trip, she navigated from a Google Map. That's right, the Calgarian navigated the American highways.
We've toured my favorite spots in Central Park.
We went to the Metropolitan Museum.
<hold on to your hats>
We've been to church.

We do yoga every morning. We cook almost every night without getting in each other's way.
Oh, and we can't keep our hands off each other.

Good. I'm sure this is a complete list. With so much to do, the two of you couldn't possibly have messed around with each other or something. We wouldn't want that now, would we?

@Thomas,
Landsakes, Thomas, don't be talking that way. You will disturb the sensitivities of certain un-named and ignored persons here.

@Joe Nation,
So glad you two are doing so much and enjoying each other's company, joe!

Sheila (SIL) has called twice and has so many great memories of that trip. I was a little worried about her leg and continuing on to Staten Island that day, but she's a trooper. She really liked you and thought you were fun and funny.

I won't believe you'll get up here until I see the whites of your eyes. I hear you're reluctant because 'it's gonna be cold' Smile Don't you worry about the cold - you won't be running any marathons in December - you'll just be hopping from house to car to restaurant to pub to car - get it? We'll even get you a toque. I'm sure the whole TADC crowd will be eager to meet you so make sure you get your passport updated!

@Joe Nation,
Toque is a legit scrabble entry; however, be aware that it's one toque over the line (sweet Jesus).

Okay, okay.

Wednesday night, the happy couple (J & S) went on a Jazz cruise with Nancy and me. Beautiful night...lots and lots of fun.

They do look happy!

@Frank Apisa,
A very trim craft, and Nancy's not half bad either.

(pardon my silly joke. I hope that's okay in America)

We've got rain and thunder & lightning after a very warm day here.

Fair enough..

I think that man looks enough like Mr Nation to quite possibly be the real one. Nice to know he is alive and steps away from the kitchen every now and then . Smile

What a great night! What great sights!
Aren't S and I a cute couple ?
Do I look moonie enough?
I am still smitten.

We spent a lot of the boatride up on top deck with Frank who knows how to do these things. It's a good thing to have a good friend.
We looked at all the places we have already walked along the river. It was a really nice evening.

(BTW, Frank, S and I solved the mystery of the Pink Building last night. Yes, we went down to the river to play a game of cribbage and wandered around the village afterwards to find it. It's a residence (!) with an art gallery on the ground floor. Someone has poured a LOT of money into that building to make it look just the way they want.)

Where was I?
Hey, thanks to Frank and Nancy for giving us the heads-up on going on the boatride. Good music, good friends and floating around New York Harbor for a couple of hours. What could be better?

AND I won two bets: Okay, one bet because Frank wouldn't bet. BUT I was right about whether or not the British had bombarded Lower Manhattan from the harbor during the Revolution. (They didn't. They did launch some cannon fire farther North at what is now Ft. George, just after Washington escaped (again!) across the Hudson along with Gen. Lee.)
AND I bet myself that the only negative, depressing, psychologically inept comment about this thread this week would come from....... JTT.
