@Izzie,
What island, where? why am i not going to an island? sound sunny and warm.
I am going to the mountains, snowy and cold. But it IS christmas, so i guess it must be so. I can't wait to have my herd together - am already at my sister's, and will join my parents tomorrow for some mountaineering. That pretty much just means mother-cooked food, light cross country skiing, minor downhill skiing, sauna, walks through the old village (it's up at the Polish borders, village with the largest number of preserved traditional wooden houses, very loverly).
i shall report from the Epicenter of quaintness when I get there.

Sounds divine, dagmar. Have a great Christmas with your family and enjoy
the time you have together.

Yeah Joe Nation, what island? Has he gone to Bora Bora without telling us?
Well, he deserves some sunshine, so hopefully he'll have more than plenty
of everything to make him feel warm and fuzzy again.

@CalamityJane,
Well, if it's Long Island, Block Island or Plum Island, it won't exactly be tropical.

Let's all hope it's not Baffin Island, unless there's a desire for snow, snow and more snow. Did I mention the snow?

@Izzie,
Ah Florida, thank you Izzie for the info. Being with family will be most helpful
to Joe. I am pleased he's taken Annie's advice.

jespah, yes you did mention it, and so have other Bostonians - I even got a
call from my Boston friends. Bostonians are very vocal about that white stuff
we Californians know nothing about.

@dagmaraka,
What do we all have in common at holiday time, whatever our takes on them, bittersweet or fashion red, jinglejingle, or yawncomplete-le?
Joe(we all love him, and I mean it)Nation.

Not to get syruppy (spelling, please). Sardonic next time.

@ossobuco,
I trust it's not the Island of Misfit Toys. Though that would be seasonally appropriate.

@CalamityJane,
Looking for the pitter patter of JoeN's typing fingers, flickers of his mind even while well edited into writing excellence. Either way, honed to good story or not, I'm/we're always listening.
