ooh cool i found a website all about sar dogs and it even has a textbook.

thats definitely on my to do list.

i think my dog would be great for that... one time she followed the trail of my aunts pomeranian, it circled thru the kitchen and living room 3 times, and when she came inside she followed his trail, did 3 circles thru the kitchen and living room and then followed the path outside, came back it and went to the bedroom. the exact path of the pommy..

i was sort of astonished, maybe it was chance...

i cant wait to get a hold of that damn book! thats like gonna beon my mind for a while.

*use a map and compass etc..

*ability to handle medical emergencies

You know who the dog whisperer is, don't you, onion?

I read his book "Cesar's Way" a while ago. He talks about sneaking across the border into America and living homeless on the streets of San Diego for a while while pursuing his dream of being a dog trainer. He finally found work in a grooming salon where he was so good working with the problem dogs that he started getting gigs helping people rehabilitate their dogs. He started his own little dog training company and look where he is now.

Chai is right.

Be diligent and work hard. Don't expect overnight miracles but do pursue your dream.

Actually, Drewdad, the onion is rather anti-drug for a young man in his situation, but thanks for the advice...

If he's doin' coke, then he ain't all that religious.

I don't care if the military ain't his gig; but claiming his Buddhism keeps him out is just BS.

The dog thing sounds cool, though.

You've never heard of The Dog Whisperer? Google Cesar Millan and see what happens! It's safe to say that he's now a multi-millionaire with his own show on the National Geographic channel.

Start here: http://www.cesarmillaninc.com/ Be sure to check out the part about the Dog Psychology Center.

I could care less if you're taking drugs. I could care less if you join the military.

My point is that your Buddhism seems a little hit-and-miss.

My advice is that if you want to own your life, then you need to let go of that insincerity.

CSN is one of the colleges I do transcribing of video courses for.

http://www.csn.edu/

CSN offers some Distance Education courses via the television on channel 71 Monday through Sunday during the normal semester schedule. These courses are taught by CSN faculty and are integrated into WebCT. Currently, there are eleven courses being aired between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Each course is rotated throughout the day, and is aired between (2) and (5) times per week. Each course segment is approximately 30 minutes, with the exception of History 217 which is 45 minutes in length.

Here's a list of the available video courses:

http://www.csn.edu/pages/282.asp

Here's their page for student financial aid:

http://www.csn.edu/pages/611.asp

Here's their admissions process:
