Surely you must be mistaken!!!

I thought he was the second coming, based on what many of his supporters are saying.

Surely they all cant be wrong, can they?

Why, the mere fact that he even HAS supporters should be evidence that he is a cult leader! I mean, if people get engaged in and excited about politics, that must surely mean that something wicked is a foot.

Seriously, this will be a story when/if he actually opts out of public financing. He isn't the nominee yet and the likely Republican nominee hasn't agreed to anything. And this narrative of Obama supporters thinking he's Jesus is, IMO, a media creation that says more about the people who buy into it than it does about people who support Obama's candidacy.

It was fodder for the media, something to drive, something to spin, but the ones who fall back on it as somehow being Obama's doing are so desperately grasping that they're willing to be spun. Grabbing at garbage scraped together by Lou Dobbs & Co. Please.Rolling Eyes

There was only one Jesus. And Obama ain't him. And there was only one JFK. And Obama ain't him either.

If he wins the nomination.....and then goes back on his promise for public financing....something that I know most every left leaning person here has supported.........well, I'm sure the Obama supporters will let that one slide too.

I would hope that McCain would use that to blast him though (this and his f**ked up position on banning ALL handguns).

"Hmm. Maybe a super delegate will happen upon A2K. Yes, yes!" The poster rubbed his hands together, plotting. "And if he or she then comes across a lazy thread criticizing supporters of the candidate who has campaigned more skillfully, and who bears no resemblance to the politics-bots he's running against, that super delegate is sure to support my candidate instead. Brilliant!" He hops up and down in his home office swivel chair. "So, I must post over and over again my dislike for this candidate's supporters, so as to increase my odds of influencing said super delegate. The world is mine. Moo-ha-ha-ha-ha!"
