Dusty Baker has managed the last three players to achieve the milestone: Bonds in San Francisco, Sosa in Chicago and now Griffey...
We all know Dusty has a penchant for old players.
Maybe he should hire some of us.
Tigers new superstar pitcher, Dontrelle Willis was pummeled yesterday. The Indians scored eight in one inning. Dontrelle, and his healthy contract were moved down to class A today.
Fortunately, none of us owned him.
I know I looked at him several times as a new SP and opted not, don't remember why.

Fine raw material for Dusty Baker!
Ha, ha. One of El Paso's guys was CAUGHT STEALING. Bunch of scoundrels.
And, Ha, Ha. Your RP for .1 inning with an ERA of 82 was also good.

George seems to be making a lot of changes to his roster today. Rearranging the deckchairs on the Titantic, dude?

Are you under the impression he is losing this week, RJB?
Oh, no, Tico. He will win 12-5. He is getting ready for next week.
How you doing this week, by the way, dude?
I'm doing well. You? Happy Father's Day.
My fantasy baseball team, on the other hand ...... yikes.
George is gearing up to face the formidable Dogpaws. (Want some of my pitchers, George?)
My batters are 1-19 for the day. And George has a SP who goes 8.2 innings with a big lead. I'll bet the pitcher and George are a bit p*ssed.
Take a look at my pitchers' era's this week - this drama probably started on Tuesday with Juurjens twisting his ankle, and went downhill from there. At this point it's funny. Only Santana and Duchscherer avoided the evil wand.
Just an average end-of-week Jamoke Parade, JohnBoy.

I'm all stocked up, but thanks for thinking of me.
1st round recap.
Cosmik Debris
The still reigning champions, true to their form and tradition, finish the first round in 6th place, one game below .500 and 34.5 games from 1st place. As you know, on every tournament they have rebounded in the playoffs -twice from 6th place and once from 3rd place- to win the A2K championship.
They have won 7 match-ups, and lost only 4, but three of those losses were severe whippings by the current leaders: Flying Weasels, Absolutely Nothin' and Stink Foot. Their manager, valiant fbaezer, has declared: "Those three teams are surely strong. When I face them in the second round I'll be scared sh¡tless." The fourth loss was to the Goofylike Lefties; the manager and the whole team got distracted by the Southpaws' manager, hollowbone, continuous ranting about her suposedly faailed strategy and her players' supposedly ridiculous performance. So Cosmik Debris lost their focus.
As for categories, they've been doing fine in several (very good, actually, in holds, runs, RBI and homers), but lag in 2B hits (who was the A-hole who proposed that category?), K's received (allright, we're the true Whiff-a-Lots) and Wins (when will Harang and Maddux get some run support?). Their overall ERA is terrible, but luckily it has been unevenly distributed by the weeks.
Looking forward for the second half of the season, valiant fbaezer has said: "No more spilled milk". He said it in Spanish: "Se acabó la leche". Perhaps it has other meaning in the language of Cervantes.
The Ticomaniacs find themselves in 5th place, just pacing themselves ahead of the ever-dangerous fbaezer team.
The offensive categories are clearly the Ticos' strength, as they are #1 in Runs, HRs, and RBI, #2 in BB, #3 in SB, and AVG, and #4 in 2B. They are DEAD LAST in CS and Ks (In fact, striking out is a trait the Ticomaniacs are historically known for).
However, their pitching ... well ... sucks. Although they are #2 in IP and Ks, and #3 in Wins and CG (thank you Roy Halliday), they rank LAST in SHO (6 way tie) and ERA, and next to last in WHIP and HLD.
Heading into the second frame, the Ticos must improve their pathetic pitching if they hope to compete against fbaezer in the Championship Game.
Fifth? I thought they were in fourth.
Someone must have passed them in the rankings.
