@realjohnboy,
I lost track of his roster during the hurricane.

I'm assuming (playing the odds) it was a new guy?

I claim victory over the Ticomaniacs. We are waiting to see whether we will face the Squirrels or the Gasseous One.

@Rockhead,
It was a new guy. Desperate times called for drafting the current sucky Mets closer.

Congratulations to: Absolute Zero, El Paso Gas, Ticomaniacs, Flying Squirrels, and Rappin Rednecks.
Now that I have my first season of a fantasy sport under my belt, I truly appreciate what it takes to get where you folks got.

My game with RJB was pretty close. If my closer hadn't blown the save, that would have left the score at 7-9 ... and if Brad Thompson could have gone at least 5 innings in his start against the Pirates, the score would have been tied at 8-8. But I said early this season that my pitching would be my Achilles heel.

Hi, JPB. I never expected to be here and will probably totally collapse. I checked our head-to-head stats. Surprisingly close in hitting except in the SB and CS categories. My pitching is noticably weaker than yours.

To coin a phrase: you can put lipstick on a squirrel but it is still a squirrel and the lipstick makes it so much easier to sight in on with a .22! How offensive was that?

I just now noticed that the championship play-off is scheduled to run from 9/15 to 9/28! Is that true? Two weeks? Cumulative?
I don't think I knew about that.
But there are many things I don't know about. Sigh.

Glad "we" noticed this. It totally changes the strategy.

@realjohnboy,
I noticed it at the very end of Week #1 last year. Totally screwed up my strategy, and cost me the championship.

Yes, fbaezer ... it did.
