How sad is it when Manny Ramirez hits HR number 500,
and you think, "Great! That'll help my fantasy team"?

The Tight Pants pitcher was one out away from a CG. Bummer for him.

But then his other pitcher got a CG/SO, so I don't feel too bad for him, I guess.

All I need today is ten runs, seven home runs, twenty one runs batted in, four stolen bases, and five pitching saves, to make my matchup within reach.

Well, the Paws' pitchers' doghouse has to have a room added on for Owings and Smith, flubbers in the sixth inning. (I'm forgiving Jurrjens for now.)

It's even sadder when you think, "Damn, that's gonna hurt my fantasy team."

I refuse to believe that thought even entered your mind.

I just checked the head to head stats, and I'm leading the league in total IP on the season, but Zero will overtake me with his output this week, that's for sure.

I was surprised to see George doesn't own that stat. He's a close third, right now.

The squirrels are flying by the skin of their teeth this week. Down 3-10 at today's start, currently sitting 4-7 and hoping against hope...

Somehow ending the week at 7-8 feels like a win. Tough week!

I'd never guess than chowder at El Paso was any good.

....

(Seems some hillbillies in the Ozarks ate rjb's hound before it could ever reach the border)

....

...now on against the Goofy Lefties.

The 'Necks are 2nd or 3rd in IP so far, but not much to show for it as I rank near the bottom in Wins etc.
So, this week Cosmik jumps over the 'Paws and claims 6th place. Pantalones makes a double jump over the Puppies and the Herons to go from 11th to 9th.
Things tighten a bit at the top.
There should be a couple of good matches this week: Squirrels vs El Paso and Zero vs Turf Toes and Cosmik vs the 'Paws.

Paws just let a pitcher go to waivers; I had had eight for a short while. My IPs, never high but at their highest, will go back down again. We'll see what Star Trash brings to the table this time...

Meantime, starting out with a newbie pitcher, tomorrow I think.

hmm, Jespah, my guy Brian Roberts seems to have 2 SB in just one inning against your Bosox. Are your guys a bit slow tonight or is he just fast. Eat my dust.
