Shocked

He's the first Royal fan I read and/or known so I wouldn't know.

I don't have a favorite team yet, so I can be above the fray. (I tend toward the discreet.)

So, I'll wave my Venice (California) cap when appropriate.

I offer the San Diego Padres as your favorite team, They don't get much exposure even though they have last year's NL CY Young winner in Jake Peavy, the all-times saves leader Trevor Hoffman and 3 other players who got national spotlight on their previous teams (Maddux, Edmonds and Prior).

If you root for the Padres you also get to root for a 6'10 pitcher who got into a weird fight with Derrek Lee, a bi-national local star (who also happens to be related to me). a robot who looks like Aquaman, among others.

Something tells me he's gonna be watched very, very closely for awhile.

Yeh, Matt. Now that I unloaded him, he'll start hitting.

Where did I lose my Padres cap, osso?
Certainly in a restaurant. I consider it improper to eat with the cap on.
So, losing caps in restaurants is a personal tradition. Along with the SD one, the ones I miss the most was a Barcelona Olympics cap and a very cool Betis (soccer team from Seville) cap.

I don't know, Fb. I tend to lose umbrellas myself. They can never be owned, you know; they have wills of their own. Perhaps something similar is going on with caps.

I have never owned an umbrella or, for that matter, a watch. I am too stupid to come in out of the rain and have never been into time.

This is amusing, but meaningless at this point. Look at the Yahoo league standings. Right above the Flying Squirrels, just above the columns labeled "Waivers" and "Moves" is something called "Head To Head Stats."
Click on that and you will see how you rank in the various categories JPinMilw has set up to score us on. Click on a column and it will rearrange. In a few weeks you will see where your are strong or weak.
It may not be updated until Monday or Tuesday.

I can feel it, I'm on a roll.

Osso-some friends of mine are in Albuquerque this week. The majority of clothes they brought were for summer weather. It's raining and snowing, I heard.

Can someone explain to me why Greinke would have been pulled after 8 scoreless innings with a 4-0 lead?

To confound you.

But ... after all, he did allow 6 hits.

Well, then again, maybe it was the fiver I slipped Hillman.
