You were just being nice to the newbie, rjb. Besides, don't we get to do this again in a few weeks?

The match-ups this week are pretty close, except for mine with JPB. I am getting killed.
My opponents the first 3 weeks are girls. I really thought I could rack up some wins here at the start. Sigh.

I figured out why I didn't see any pitchers on the player list. D'oh #64. The addiction progresses.

Yeah, well, I may have to play my benchers.

And I think I need a brand new pitching staff ... cause they all suck.

Why are the standings not actually in, well, standing order? By my reckoning, JPB (13-3) would be first. Then, heh, me (10-6), etc. But I'm listed as 5th, with JPB at the bottom.

I realize that this is the order in which we joined the league -- I assume it'll right itself later today?

Signed, I need more caffeine

I know it isn't a fair comparison 'cuz we were fielding players against different match-ups, but I checked my first week's numbers against yours, Tico, and I won 9/10 pitching categories, tied on the other (SHO=0/0), you won 7/9 batting categories, I won 2/9. Seems we're both a bit lopsided.

As you might guess, I dun'know what the standings mean. I'm at 7-8-4 with 4.5 gb. Lots of other people also have 4.5. Great baseball? Gifted brunette? I get the 7-8 but not what the 4 means... Pants has a 1 where my 4 is, while running third, but JPB, who is first, has, I think, a 3. Eh?

No, I don't have any, osso.

Your 4.5 means that you are 4.5 Games Back (or behind) the Gifted Brunette (or whoever the current leader in the standings may be).

Well, you just picked up one of the best hitters in the game. Hopefully he doesn't hit himself out of his mini-slump this week.

oh -- and the third number is the number of ties (areas that you and your opponent scored the same). The number of games back is a calculation of the win/loss/tie ratios. Turf toe has two less win and one more tie than me, so he's 1.5 games behind the leader.

Well, Victorino really ticked me off today. 1/5, 2K, ground out with bases loaded. He's gone.

Besides many of my players not winning a game this year, I've had players benched minutes before the game would start, and therefore, had a player in my line up not participating in adding to my stats.
This week I play of Boston Puppies. Who's the manager?
