Nay, osso, most of your opponents know as little about this as you do. I never knew that the "waiver" column was a pecking order in the event that two or more of us wanted the same player who was going to become available. I assumed that the first person to want that player got him.
If you look at the column to the right of "waivers" you will see that it is labeled "moves." Many of the players here have made virtually none. They are content or complacent with their rosters. This is small league, so we are not a bunch of players chasing a limited number of good ball players. In addition, while the waiver pecking order certainly might allow someone to jump ahead of you, we seem to not be that aggressively competitive (although any player has the right to jump ahead of you without recrimination if they are eligible).
So I suspect you will end up getting both your 3/26 and 3/28 guys.

Thank you!

Just as I think I'm getting it... two more things pop up.

I dropped two guys today (a Beatles' song) and they show up on the waiver/available player list. But they're still on mine. I thought they were off and now they show up there again. Huh? Well, maybe I'll figure it out. Just whining.

And the other is.. remember my mumbling about do outfielders have to stay in certain fields? Well, dang it, I found a new list of positions telling me yes, only such and such fielders can play in such and such fields. Oy.

Set your date for tomorrow, and look again.

All transactions take a day to process...

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks.

And, I figured out, or hope I did, that anyone listed as OF can go in any field........ right?

Curfew and lights out for the Rednecks.
I assume you know, osso, that in addition to picking guys up off the waiver list, you can click on players and then the position you are seeking to fill. There will be many guys there listed as FA (Free Agents). Click on the little green thing and they will be added to your team immediately. If your roster is full, you will be asked to indicate a player you want to drop at the same time.
I think I got that right.

OF is outfield only, unless you were being more sarcastic than me, in which case the backup emoticon means I was smarter than you....

Or is that not what you meant...

(smooch)

Cool

Yes, I wanted reassurance that any OF person can, at least in the fantasy leagues, play right, left, or center fields. I was thrown off by looking at the Position list, which says things like CF can only play CF...

Yes. Whether they actually play LF, RF, or CF, Yahoo is only concerned that they play OF.

Any field will do, for Yahoo.

And as far as player positions, only be concerned with the position availability Yahoo itself tells you.

I knew I was going to spend much too much time on this.... I watched last night's game via stattracker and had a hissy fit in the top of the 9th when rjb tied me on doubles.

Stat tracker will dissapear in a couple of weeks.
Then you can opt on buying into it.
Tico had it last year; I never do.

I did have it, but I didn't pay for it. I signed up for mycokerewards, or something like that. Got stat tracker for free as a result.

They dangle the stat tracker to get you hooked. Thankfully, it's not all that expensive.

There were several games postponed today. Some of them will be made up tomorrow, which was scheduled to be a day off for some teams. Yall may want to check your lineups for Tuesday.
