I wish to die as a human .
I live in Europe
Iam of the opinion that the author of this thread has some
pre conclussion// observations about the participants..
Let us spread the air with smile and not with prejudice.
I hope and wish that Americans are as poor as we are in Europe.

Is there widespread poverty in Europe? I wasn't aware of that.
In Germany there are enough poor poverty sticken people who had built this country.
I am not a scholar to assesss the level of poverty in USA.
An admittedly subjective observation, but as a Canadian on the Wet Coast, living near the US border, I can safely say that many (most?) of the people I meet (both Canadians recently transplanted from Europe and Canadians of long time residence) have at the least a mild (if not rather extreme) anti-American stance.
I often used to suggest to these people: I bet by casual conversation and association they would not be able to show any significant difference between (for example) a Satellite and a Vancouverite in a neutral setting, (well outside of the very obvious of another country / city).
Most of the intellectual German's are saying goodbye to Germany.
Since I am a globalist I wish to die in Germany

The English are bailing out of England at a rapid pace. Many are going to Spain and Portugal, which welcome the English.
The global nonsense ask
"why you go elsewhere and be cheated
when you can get cheated at home?

dunno... my buddy rainer claims that mainz = death.
it was ideal for some
"In 1962, the diarist, Friedrich Kellner, returned to spend his last years in Mainz."
Didnt know about Friedrich Kellner thanks.
I wager that the unending flow of information about the torture condoned and encouraged by the Bush administration breeds considerable contempt abroad for the USA. Perhaps our non-USA posters would speak to this.

Its already been said. A billion times. We're just waiting for Pres Obama/Clinton/McCain to end the nightmare. In the meantime staying low and hoping we dont get killed in the crossfire from an American attack on Iran.
With Bush continuing at the helm, the nation is still in great danger. His judgment is atrocious, and he takes the advice of incompetents and madmen.
This tells me that an impeachment effort should have been effected.
