@jespah,
Just when swine flu crosses with avian flu, thus creating flying pig flu.

Time to do all those things you couldn’t do until pigs flew.

"Knowing how to escape the swine flu, the pig curse and the flying pigs,
seems to be quite an undertaking", spoke Miss Piggy at a recent reputation
damage control meeting.

@CalamityJane,
Lemme tell ya (for real), swine flu is no picnic. Ask our elder nephew, who had a suspected case (they think it was a false negative but was still H1N1, as it was out of season). He's fine now, but was flat on his back for about a week and missed some school (he's 14). He's back and better now but it was not a fun time off.

@jespah,
My daughter has the flu now (I keep my fingers crossed that it's not H1N1) and I had a bad case back in July. I was sick as a dog for good 2 weeks, so I know it's serious stuff. Let's hope we beat this pandemic flu with proper vaccination.

@CalamityJane,
No flu in my household this winter thank goodness, 'swine flu' vaccinations now available for the elderly, infirm and other vulnerable persons downunder.

@CalamityJane,
Really strict rule about alphabetical order, Walter. Other than that, anyone can say anything.

Understandably, Walter's okay with the quarantine if Mrs. Walter gets to come along and they are supplied with endless chocolates and Internet access.

@jespah,
Very well stated.

However, one has to be aware of side effects of chocoholia:

Quote:
Chocolate contains several biologically active ingredients, all of which can cause abnormal behaviors and psychological sensations like those of other addictive substances. Researchers at the University of Tampere in Finland found that self-proclaimed chocolate “addicts” salivated more in the presence of chocolate, and showed a more negative mood and higher anxiety. The researchers state that chocolate addicts show traits of regular addiction, because they exhibit craving for chocolate, irregular eating behavior, and abnormal moods.

What do the Finish know? Chocolate is soul food and very much needed
in times of distress. In fact: I would plead to have every Friday some mandatory
chocolate served - just to end the work week on a sweet note.

Always thinking of the appetizing things in life, the French surpass all other nations by a landslide.
