You could not make this up; after the Freddie Mac and Fanny May announcement…

The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced. The arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work instead of living on public assistance."

- Marcus Tullius Cicero, 55 B.C.

@Francis,
As the Islamic holy month Ramadan came to a close Muslims gathered to celebrate the Eid holiday. In Bridgeview, about 10,000 Muslims attended the Mosque Foundation's popular Eid prayer and festivities, which included face-painting and moon bounces for children and a marketplace to buy holiday gifts.

This was the first year the event was held at Toyota Park, Bridgeview’s outdoor sports arena and home stadium of the Chicago Fire Soccer Club.

Fears that Wandel may be skating on thin ice were alleviated somewhat by the purchase of a new floatable Zamboni " We apologize for our early edition using the word ‘Zucchini’

@Tryagain,
Myohmy, the reputation one gets here makes one think of the lost honor and Boell. Avatars need to be changed again.

No sightings reported of the missing Boell and lost honor " so Try offered her honor. She honored his offer and all night long he was on her and off her!

Deadline ultimatum draws ever closer!

Overnight it was; predictable and inevitable, just two of the words used to describe the bankruptcy (as predicted) of Lehman Brothers and Yagain Enterprises "

‘Bite my ass’… the last words spoken by T.R.Yagain as he leapt from his office window in advance of his creditors "

Luckily the ground broke the fall from his ground floor office!

Quite a lot of rain has fallen in Chicago over the last few days and local residents have been quick to market their lakeside properties "

Mystery still surrounds a heavily bandaged man admitted to hospital tagged ‘John Doe’ !
