Well, there I was trying to grab my dog for some reason unclear to me.. he was with a bunch of other gold/tan colored dogs romping by a street of my childhood. We were all in front of my aunt's and her neighbors' houses passing over a bunch of different lawns. There was one different colored dog, a dark brown dachshund, down by the deodar cedar tree... which was not that far from Wilshire Boulevard, a busy through street. On my aunt's street, there were parked cars, and the occasional passing car. I seem to remember having a few leashes in my hand at one point. There were other people, and ehBeth was one of them, perhaps forty or fifty feet away, so I suppose her doggies were in the melieu (not melee). I think I woke up when I grabbed pacco and wrestled him in a human hug. Nothing bad happened in the dream.

Well, shucks, that was a nice one.

Nightmare.
Haven't had one since childhood. Dreamed I was out of the apartment and when I returned everything was gone--- furniture, TVs, rugs and all.
I had a horrific sense of loss.

I actually woke up and walked out into the living room to make sure everything was still there. 'tis.
Now all I have left is the sense of loss.

@Joe Nation,
It's the credit crunch Joe. It's making us all feel a bit less complacent.

I was a ghost watching three teens interact with their parents in a very large mansion furnished with tons of antiques and expensive arts pieces. The 'housekeeper' who lived in small quarters was the owner of the mansion and rented it to the family who were having financial troubles. The kids were busted by the cops for possessing/selling drugs. (only two of which were guilty) All three of which were punished by the father by being chained to their beds all in the same room so they could share in the punishment.

After a short time the ghost became a man. (?) who became quite angry at the treatment of the teens and would go from one room to another mentally smashing the breakables so that they shattered everywhere. I could feel the items showering down upon my head even though I was not physically the ghost at that moment..or so I thought.

The father tried to purge the ghost only to be encountered by many stray spirits that roamed the area. Each one seemed to lift itself up toward the heavens. Soon I was the ghost was again, and myself was drifting up to the heaven, then I heard someone calling me and looked down at myself in the hospital bed. Then I was awake (still dreaming), I was laying in the hospital bed and asked my mother what I was doing there. She said that the windows of my house had blown out due to a strong storm and the room I was in had collapsed. I asked after the health of my five cats and was told that my Magic kitty did not make it. I insisted that they try because she is 'my baby' and I need her. They tried but were not successful. My beloved Magic had passed away.

Shortly thereafter, I really woke up..went in search of my Magic black cat, (she is 17 years old this year) and found her in the back of my closet. She sensed my needniness as before the coffee maker finished brewing the pot of coffee she had climbed up into my lap and insisted on snuggles.

I was looking out the window of my apartment at the river (No. you cannot see the river from my apartment.) There was a boat in trouble. It was going backwards and you could see there were rocks in it's way. I tried to get other people to look out and see what was happening but they were not interested.
Suddenly, a railroad passenger train came down the hill from across the river and ran right through the water. It zoomed up the other side and was gone.

That was it. That was the whole dream. very vivid.

@Joe Nation,
If I dreamt that Joe I would think the boat a maiden in distress caught between two evils and the driver of the train had plucked her to safety and zoomed away into the sunset.

@spendius,
Three nights ago during my third snooze I dreamed I walking through some plush curtains into a luxurious apartment and there was a bloke in a large and deep armchair fondling a naked pink chubby of about 170 pounds. So I passed on and came to another similar armchair with another naked pink chubby sobbing. I said " What's the matter love?". She replied through her sobs and snivelling, "Nobody wants to fondle me." So naturally I asked her if she would like me to fondle her and she looked up smiling through her tears and said "Will ya?"

I woke up at that point so what happened will forever remain a mystery.

You are still impressed by the plane that landed in the Hudson, a clear analogy..

The details are gone, but last night my dream was a wandering doozy. I went to a movie with siblings and brought work with me. I went to the bathroom and couldn't find my way back to the theater because the complex was so big. I went down hallway after hallway and finally ended up in an old barn! Ha! There I stopped looking for my work and started poking around. Sunlight filled the place and made all the wood glow honey-colored. Even the air seemed honey-colored. I woke up as I was happily falling in love with a sexy, young farmer.

Very interesting. Is my subconscious telling me to career-change before I've even gotten started?

@littlek,
No, your subconscious is telling you about your unconscious desires...

@Francis,
Desires other than changing jobs? So, that'd be the desire to find a handsome young farmer to take a roll on the hay with?

Last night I had a dream that I was raped by Lawrence Welk

I spent the rest of the dream trying to prevent this from happening to other women.

Lawrence was a total SOB about it.

Last night was a night of dreams, mostly about work. I was trying to enter a list of items into the computer but it wouldn't work. Then I took them into another room, but each time I turned away or walked away to do something, I would look back to see an empty screen.
There were two other dreams, one of which woke me, but I can't remember any of either now.

@Joe Nation,
Last night I dreamt I was married to Marlon Brando.

The young, handsome Brando.

Did you know that Brando and Wally Cox were life long best friends?

I dreamed last night that I was having a tooth filled and when it was done I had to sit with my mouth open so that the dentist's friends could admire his handiwork.

Interpretations welcome.

they were roommates together first starting out, and remained lifelong friends.

In actuality, Cox was not a whimp, but was quite athletic, and a ladies man. He was married 3 times.

There is some speculation Brando (who admitted to bi-sexual activity) and Cox were lovers for a time.

That's neither here nor there to me, but just goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover.

I'll tell you what, Brando was certainly preferable to Lawrence Welk. Wink
