I haven't a clue where my brain gets this stuff:
I am driving to a friend's house (it's at a lake, I think) and the way you park is to drive INTO the house through these special doors. I've done this before apparently my mind tells me but I have never dreamed this before.
Okay. I drive to the house and park. Good.
Now the dream replays and I am driving to the house, but this time the doors look different and I realize that I am trying to drive into the house next door. A neighbor lady waves at me. I wave back. Ha ha. My mistake.
I park inside the house and walk in the darkened hallway where I feel something very big and furry lying there. I run to the door where the neighbor lady asks "what's wrong?" . I tell her about dark and furry thing. We go back in -- it's my friend's bear, of course.
Of course, it is.
It's friendly enough but when it starts to bite down a little hard on my left hand, I wake up.

In a dream the other night, my boss lady was dressing me down. She was very stern about it. I awakened before she could conclude, as she does in real life, with a small smile and a "but I love you." It is a rare occurrence when I have any sort of dream recall, so I thought I should record it. It could be six months before I have anything else to report.
I was staying in some two-story house that offered public baths (?), and some creeping toxic slimey stuff was taking over the town. We (who were those people anyway?) sealed the windows and doors, but eventually the stuff got in somehow and started creeping across the floor toward us. Somehow we escaped, but when we returned the next morning it was gone. But it was very eerie, walking through the house, half expecting some of that stuff to drip on us from out of nowhere.
(I have bronchitis. I think it's getting to me.)
I dreamed that I saw a machine that controlled the Universe.
It looked like a giant cloud of colorful vapor riddled with wormholes (through which whole worlds moved to and fro), hanging between the galaxies.
And for a moment, from a distance, I knew how to work it. But the closer I looked at it, the less it made sense, and when I could finally see it in detail I didn't understand it at all.
I am walking across a huge parking lot which is empty except for a strikingly blue car. Metallic blue with the sun glistening off every curve, even for a non-car man like me, it was really something to look at.
I walk into a building nearby and there on the floor I see a set of keys with the same metallic blue on the holder. I pick them up. The round blue disc is inscribed "Tom and Gerri".
Just then a man appeared from a door looking worried. "What tv characters are you named after?" I asked. He said he didn't know.
I realized he was too young to remember Tom & Jerry.
Then I heard the front door of our apartment slam. I woke up. I went to the door. It was double locked. I hadn't really heard it.
I made coffee and a banana sandwich.

I may have posted this dream previously, so I guess it's turned into a recurring one.
In it I'm going to take another job, or a part time 2nd job. It's at a place I worked at once before (in my dream), but quit. It's some sort or manufacturing place, assembly line, lot's of people. Everything very state of the art, except for one thing, the reason I quit previously.
In order to get to the plant, one had to park their car in a big dirt lot on the other side of a river. Not in a town/city, but a river running through the middle of woodland.
There's this big tunnel built under the river you have to go through to get to the other side, it's the only way. Thing is, the tunnel is built so you have to crawl through it on your hands and knees, there's no lighting whatsoever, pitch black, and it's all hard packed dirt and rocks.
In my dream, the reason I quit the first time is that I was able to handle this crawl for I guess a few days, then, freaked out in the dark, thinking about the river overhead, the darkness, the people behind me telling me to "hurry up" when I couldn't crawl any faster.
No one else had any problem whatsoever with this method. I'm talking women in their late 50's who were 100 lbs overweight, skinny people in their late teens, big workmen, people in business attire.
I went back there to work part time it I think, for some extra cash I wanted, but didn't necessarily need.
When I went there, I asked if that same system was in place, and was told yes. I was standing in the area on the plant side of the river, and was saying "this is ridiculous, look, the president of the place has 3 ferraris (pointing at them) sitting there, and you can't afford to make a decent tunnel for people to walk through?
I was told no one had ever complained, or even thought about it.
hmmm....I'm part of a pilot project at work that's making a process turn out better results. Some people are giving pushback, with the feeling of "we thought it was working just fine"
joe,
I've had that happen where you wake up thinking you've heard something, but there's no way.
creepy.

THAT is one super cool dream.
I was walking through a concrete jungle then down a long set of switchback stairs, like entering a giant subway system. When I got to the bottom, there was a busy bar. I went inside and realized the place was full of celebrities from years past. There was a bottle of vodka on the table and I went to return it to the bar before I left, and when I gave it to the bartender, I noticed it was Chianti, not vodka. I chatted with the guy for a second about the celebs and he said it was always like that.
As I went to leave I passed a bookshelf with drawers. From one of the drawers a finger was poking out, moving slightly. I opened the drawer and discovered the remains of a severed arm....
That's when I woke up.
What's really weird, is that I've never seen the Hannibal Lecter films nor have I read the books.
The only thing I can remember from last night's dreams involves dyslexia. I was having a large party with my younger house mates. I had been wandering around inside were everyone was younger than me and I didn't feel at ease. I went out to the patio and there were a bunch of older people - all men. Dyslexia was in the middle of the pack and I realized the rest were some of my other favorite a2kers (I've met Dys so I know what he looks like). One was smoking a cigar, some had snifters. They were having an intelligent and interesting conversation and I felt quite comfortable there. Then we all got up and sat down at an outside dining table to eat a yummy pasta dish.
That wasn't a dream, lil'k. It was a vision.
That'll be us in Albuquerque in a few weeks.
I wish you were, too.
I'd been given the cold, damp job of sorting beach pebbles to pick out the few that would make proper cobblestones.
Well, Noddy, it's not rocket science but apparently someone has to do it.
I dreamt in color last night. I was in a new apartment which had to do something with work. I was closer to work, maybe it was owned by a colleague...? Anyway, it was an old building set in the woods as part of a sort of set of small houses. I only saw the bedroom of my apartment, it was large with a very high ceiling and the walls were painted red. I know I saw them as red because I was looking at them, from under the covers, for quite some time. (who dreams they're just sitting there looking at the walls!?!). I had a door to the outside from my bedroom. I went out to a deck and there were stairs going up. The stairs landed up at a second deck which was level with the roof of the house. At this point, it was sunny and I was near the tops of the trees around the buildings.
While I was sitting up there, enjoying the view, a colleague walked over and asked me about how I liked the place. I told her I liked it, especially the high deck. She called it the breakfast deck and told me the property used to house a restaurant.
That's all I can remember. It was such a melancholy dream.
I was a teacher again. I was walking frantically through the corridors,
not knowing where my class was or even what subject to teach.
I have this dream often.
Yikes! Something to look forward to.....
No worries. You aren't neurotic enough.

Cha! We'll see about that!
