Oh---knew she'd had "procedure"...thought it hadn't been successful, and she was scheduled for major surg..but not well enough for it. Thanks for getting me up to speed.
<consternated>
But, osso makes it sound as though she's doing well. Will be very relieved when someone says Diane is free from the pain that made this whole thing so horrible.
I developed pneumonia not long after my heart surgery. I'd heard the word all my life, of course, but had no personal familiarity with the malady. It's an unpleasant little bastard but as george says, she's in just the right place. Hugs.

Dys called me last night around 11:30 pm to tell me about Diane's pneumonia. He said not to worry because Sally Dog and Dante Cat were comforting him and would sleep with him at night. Fred the Parrot just gripes loudly.

Lash... she had the procedure, it didn't work (gallstones too big/ bile duct too tight), then after this and that and some hell-raising from a good surgeon, she had the "real" surgery after several days' wait. (The first one was sometime last week -- Thursday? -- then the "real" surgery was Monday, the 29th.) The gallstones weren't actually removed; the part of the bile duct they were in was tied off and a new, alternate route was built. That all seemed to go well. She's still in the hospital, recovering, and now has to deal with pneumonia, too.
(Is that about right, Dys and Osso?)
When I talked with her yesterday, she said she was feeling better. That was before I heard about the pneumonia business.
After reading what George said, I looked it up and it is very common in cases of abdominal surgery.
I don't know anything more this morning.
ok, things are better, Lady Diane was moved last night to "isolation" ( i can't visit) but they are going to take the tube out this afternoon. She is feeling much better but still using the "morphine pump" for pain. doc told me he will NOT discharge her until she is really ok (relief).

Sallydog must be stressed, she barfed all over the bedroom last night (she has NEVER done that before) Dantecat just wants me to keep her food bowl full.

It's those night time Margaritas you make for Sally's night caps, you dummy!

It's perhaps just the animalistic way to show how much she likes you.
Oh poor Diane, I'm rooting for her! It's so unfortunate that she
contracted pneumonia now. I guess, that's why they get people up and
walking around asap, to safeguard against pneumonia.
My fingers are crossed for her, dys and the little zoo.
Oh, crap. Jesus H! (((Diane)))
What the heck does Diane think she is doing? A spelling test for Dys?
If it wasn't spelled so odd, I'm sure she wouldn't have it.
A little late catching the news here. So sorry you are ill Diane.
Very best wishes from this part of merrie olde englande, as dys would spell it.
dear friends, I am tired, I'm going to bed. Lady Diane is going to be fine.

Ok latest, not removing tube until tomorrow, staying in isolation for today. Sounds good, Just pumped more morphine, nodding off. Hope to be able to visit on the morrow.
