Depends on where you've seen the Americans. Many, many bike trails in cities and small towns are now available to bikers, but in major Cities with high levels of traffic, to ride a bike on a public street could be very dangerous.

Ah yes, that would be the reason, as the European cities have no traffic at all then. Oy Miller, your world must be pretty boxed in.

Is it because of the way Americans drive?

Because in Paris and in all the big European metropoles we have huge numbers of people cycling..

I said 2/3 of Europe would be sex offenders.
They're running around, they're sunbathing, they're jogging, whatever
it might be, the operative word is NAKED, isn't it?

Would the priest have been arrested for running around the track?
No, he was charges with a misdemeanor being NAKED.

Okay, bear in mind that I am coming from Europe I do understand
the indecent exposure charge, but why on earth would he have to register as sex offender for such a trivial thing as running naked?

2/3 of Europe would be sex offenders then.

I couldn't tell what word you meant to be the operative word, from what you said above.

you said running naked is a trivial thing.
then you said 2/3 of eupore would be sex offenders then.

it just follows that 2/3 of europe runs naked.

I would have thought if you meant doing other things naked as well, you would included that.

Please try to be more clear for stupd people like me.

Someone in another thread said that Miller is a troll. Reading all her
comments here does make me agree with that someone.

At one point or another, yes.
In Munich for instance, there is a big park we call English Garden and
while you walk through the park you'll see nude people laying in the grass all over. On the river banks there are sunbathers nude too. It's quite common actually.

Dto. in France and other European countries.

Here is a picture of the English Garden on any given day

Is that a park reserved strictly for naked men?

American ways and beliefs are different than Europe, this is true. But who is to really say which way is the better way? It's OK to be different. Here in America public nudity is not accepted, therefore my children should not have to see naked people running around if they don't want to. We shouldn't be forced to see strange bits here and there. But in Europe, it's not a big shock to me to go to a beach and see naked people. So, in Europe, that's OK

Not really.

"such a trivial thing as running naked" Not Equal "running naked"

Could be some other trivial thing, too. Like, playing frisbee in the nudd, or walking across the park, or.... something.

So 2/3 of Europe does "such a trivial thing as running naked".

NOT 2/3 of Europe is running naked.

You're welcome.

The point is that unless you're at a nudity farm or registered in a nude event, you can't expose yourself willy-nilly in N.A. Therefore, his crime was indecent exposure, and justifiable within the laws of his country.

However, registering him as a sex offender was over the top, esp. when you consider the time of day and the lack of light.

High school kids also run the track early in the morning.

Another thing you don't know Miller, but I am going to tell you now:
we don't have vice cops, just ordinary police officers. Smile

Just what the heck are "vice cops" anyway?

I have nothing against nudity, in fact I love going to the lake just outside Bratislava where everybody who feels like it goes nude, and that's not an official beach or colony of anysort, I would NOT jog naked. I mean, how uncomfortable would that be? Firstly,I'd miss my sports bra, let's just leave that at that. But also the sweat streaming down, chaffing....there's nothing luring in running naked. I doubt that comfort would be the main reason for it. The flying bits would be problematic for most men as well, I'd imagine. So I wonder if there's more to this particular priest than just avid joggery before dawn.
