Europe is freer in its thinking in many ways than North America. Canadians can't buy liquour anywhere but in liquour stores, we can't drink in parks or at the beach, and kids can't go into pubs with their parents.

I know America is/was freer than Canada because when we drove around Texas we'd see signs reading: "No drinking and driving within City Limits" implying, of course, that drinking and driving outside of City Limits was okay, and that drinking as a passenger within City Limits was okay. I hear that's changed there (Texas).

As far as nudity goes, Vancouver has one nude beach. I recall many nude sunbathers on the various beaches on Santorini and it didn't seem to bother anybody. We are an uptight nation here.

All of Europe is more athletic than the United States. People walk, run,
bicycle and hike on a regular basis, and not just young ones. Perhaps
you should peek around your window to see the real world.

That must be why you guys win so many more medals that us at the Olympics. Laughing

About that worm picking thing, imagine if you were the student who picked the worm that was attached to the priest....

Just for the pleasure of feeling free and the air flowing along your body...

I've seen far more Europeans cycling than Americans. And I wonder what the ratio is of fat Europeans to fat Americans. Do Europeans consume as much prepared foods, fast foods, and colas?

And this is not to cast aspersions on all Americans or put them all in one basket, but come on, let's get real!

Sure you can.

It's not like jogging naked is mandatory...

It's against the law to have an open can of beer in a moving car.( unless the law's been changed )

You see, this is another thing, most of Europe doesn't grasp. We don't
need to have a medal hanging around our neck that shows us how good
we are. I am talking about recreational activities here, and the average
European compared to the average American.

Depends on where you've seen the Americans. Many, many bike trails in cities and small towns are now available to bikers, but in major Cities with high levels of traffic, to ride a bike on a public street could be very dangerous.

Well, I've been naked lots of times, I just never tried any sport activities that way. I guess you can't knock it unless you've tried it.

Yes.

As I said, my American friend was somewhat taken by surprise....

(But it's not, like, you have to get undressed. It's not the law. It's more like a guideline.)
