Okay, bear in mind that I am coming from Europe Rolling Eyes

I do understand
the indecent exposure charge, but why on earth would he have to register as sex offender for such a trivial thing as running naked?

2/3 of Europe would be sex offenders then.

At one point or another, yes.
In Munich for instance, there is a big park we call English Garden and
while you walk through the park you'll see nude people laying in the grass all over. On the river banks there are sunbathers nude too. It's quite common actually.

Dto. in France and other European countries.

I went to Munich with an American friend, once. Went to the English Garden, too. I might say that my friend was just a tiny bit surprised......

(What I thought was great was that people just went there on their noon break. Headed right out of office, stripped down, lay there naked for like an hour, got back dressed in office suit, headed back.... Awesome.)

I don't care one way or the other about jogging.

I'm just trying to figure out why 2/3's of europe would be put on a sex offender list for running naked, when I don't think 2/3's of europe does that.

They're running around, they're sunbathing, they're jogging, whatever
it might be, the operative word is NAKED, isn't it?

Would the priest have been arrested for running around the track?
No, he was charges with a misdemeanor being NAKED.

Right so. There could have been thousands of minors with flashlights at that time, and who knows, if he would have been able to cover himself with his clothes in time all the time?

Walter, didn't you know that all Colorado teens MUST go worm-picking in the school yard at 4:30 a.m.

It's a requirement, not an elective. That's why they're all out there with their flashlights.
