I echo the sentiment - super picture - certainly put a smile on my face, despite the constant rain that's beating on our windows!
My grocery store. Hey, I lead sort of small grained life these days...
First, a Hi, how are you, from the stocker in the dairy aisle. Well, that's wrong, the produce section guy said Hi first. Next, a Hi from the female stocker in the asian, fish, and canned vegetable aisle. She was sitting on the floor, arranging cans on the lower shelf, and a few minutes conversation followed. Then, I found out they finally stocked the Red Mill Farro I'd asked them to keep as a product; it had been gone for a few months (I happen to like it on the chewy side re cooking time), yaaay, so I asked for the manager, who knows and likes me (as opposed to treating me like a pest), and not only did he thank me, I think he might be going to cook some up himself. The checker called me "honey" when she asked for my I.D. for some beer (Fosters). Let's say that Monday early afternoon can be relaxed there.
I always leave the market as 'happy woman'.
Oh, I forgot to add two entirely new products to my foodie eyes, both of them just after I had picked up about eight New Mexico Green Chiles to roast - one thing August is good for here.
The products -
1) Green Chile Wine. It was on the expensive shelf and I didn't investigate further.
2) A packaged mix for making Green Chile Mango Soup.
Huh?
So, I went back to the produce section and picked up a mango. I'll probably not mess up a good mango in a soup I've never tried before.
Ordinary days can be good.
