You will find the diet varies substantially according to the type and color of hardhat which the worker is wearing.

Well, the hunky bobcat driver who occasionally waves at me from a great distance, seems to prefer wearing a bright red hard hat.

Either that, or he's bald and got bad sunburn. It's so far away I can't really tell.

What is a red hat? Steak? Tomato fetish?

He is definitely into pork products, you know such as sausage and kielbasa. Not one to eschew veggies he also likes a good thick cucumber...(which I understand is actually a fruit). For drinking he will be found drinking chocolately Yoo-hoo straight from the bottle, no straw.

In my region, as part of "construction worker's breakfast" (Maurerfrühstück), there has always to be a roll with "construction worker's jam" (spiced ground pork, "Mettbrötchen") and a bottle of beer as aside. Plus a tabloid.
