Wandel, you can set your preferences so that you'll see larger avatars again. It's very simple: see here for explanation.

I notice that people who are voting yes, tend to modify it by saying, "I like the site but...I miss this and I miss that."

Just my 2 Cents Wink

I noticed that too, Lambchops Very Happy

So, I counted 27 No votes and 23 Yes votes, giving me the reassurance that
I am not the only one here having trouble adjusting to the new site.

To the No voters: I hope you're not disappearing like some users have done already. If/when further improvements are made, we shall be content again -
at least with a2k Very Happy

Luddite!...see, that's exactly what I was talking about.

For the record, just because in my youth I smashed a couple dozen pocket calculators, shot an overhead projector, and stabbed two VCRs....not to mention the intense fear I have of large copy machines...does not make me a full blown Luddite....Quit reading my high school transcripts rabbit...that's not fair.

I already voted no, but keep in mind the old site wasn't perfect. Right now, I've got a dozen people on ignore, and it makes the site much nicer. Some of those people might even have gone somewhere; I wouldn't know.

Sure, Roger!

But some small tricks could ameliorate this one too.

Sometimes only by adding two lines of program it would save lots of place on the server and also save some CPU usage.

But Craven and Nick know better than I...

I need to wait until we get updated by email to really get back to the site. I do not know how to highlight in a box the person's comment I am replying to amongst other things. To much seems to be inscrutable. In my opinion, it is like a small bus stop, or rural railway platform turned into Grand Central Station.

Foofie, you have to go to your profile page and change this setting.

Show quote button: Yes

It's in the Edit Preferences section.

Thank you. Now I just have to wait patiently for the email updates for replies/additional postings.
