When is your due date?

I seem to remember that you've been counting from actual conception rather than the more conventional way -- so your "8 1/2 months pregnant" is a more conventional "8 months pregnant" -- but I don't remember!

I am 34 1/2 weeks from date of my last period. Which means in gestational age, the baby is 32 1/2 weeks. Which means....who the hell knows what that means.


My due date is Aug 4th.

That's what it was, OK. August 4th. So you have a month or so left, probably.

That's within the 6-week window mentioned by the book for a bloody show, though.

How are things now?

Seems to have slowed....

Still getting pink on the tp but it's not nearly as much as before.

I am laying on the couch with my laptop, resting and abiding by docs orders.

darn...laundry will have to wait. :wink:

What an exciting time this is! Just to put you're mind at ease, does your hospital have a nurse hotline that you can call with questions? Maybe this way you can get more than one professional telling you this is OK

I am feeling kind of eh, right now. Less bleeding but still having the contractions and the cramping.

If i could just lay in bed all day, i'd be fine...it only seems to bother me when I am standing.

ok, it's about 9:30....she's prolly in bed....

who wants to take bets that she's gonna go into labor by....let's say Sunday?

Bella - have you been drinking plenty of water? My sister would get cramps if she drank too little water (her first child was THIRSTY!) and they would go away when she drank more.

That's what my doc said too, however after 80oz of water (yes I actually drank 80oz of water in one sitting..ok, I drank 64oz of water and 16 of gatorade so I wouldn't f with my potassium too much) and it didn't stop the ickiness.

I could probably drink more water (who couldn't) but I don't think that's the problem.

And an update....

Bleeding has stopped (whoo hoo!) and I actually slept last night a little. I don't know if I just said f*ck it and came to terms with the fact that my body is rebelling against me and I relaxed or what but last night was semi-ok.

My fingers are like sausages this morning (I can't even wear my size 6 ring when normally I wear a 4 3/4) , and I am feeling some pressure "down there". Last night it felt like she was going to fall out, today it feels like she's "disengaged" and is up higher. So maybe labor isn't eminent in the next 2 weeks. I am still getting twinges of pain in the nether regions when I am standing or walking so she's still low.

I am very jealous of Wilso's wife.

I can't wait to eat this muffin.

And my spirits are a bit lifted today.

The doc knows about the swelling and headaches?

No headaches.

But my bp is fine.

Just had it taken yesterday.

I lied.

She feels like she's going to fall out again.
