maybe bcos purple + gold are the lakers team colors?
Supposedly, but they're more blue now. (And yeah, I thought that too. Still... yick.)
On the other hand, if it's worth 4 mil, she's walking around with some serious mad money whenever she wears it...
another news report i heard: she was at a party bragging to her friends about what happened.
seems to me this would be detrimental to the prosecution's case.
Yep, she said it was X inches long and she swallowed the whole thing.
'X' as in roman numeral for 10?
cjhsa, are you kidding!!??
Nope, she apparently described it in detail.
Now, the question is, what caused the bruises?
Ugh!
I think this is going to get really nasty.
I think I'd tell my daughter to withdraw the charges, if any of this is accurate.
If this stuff about the victim is true--she'll end up more 'stained' than Kobe will.
Hahaha! I agree cum-pletely!
Gawd, this just gets more and more sordid.
Pics of the accuser will be on eBay fairly soon, I figure.
Do you think anyone will bid on her?
more dirt on the victim --

That's it. She may as well drop the charges now.
That's not new, that's what we talked about a few pages back. Even if it's true, a person who tried to commit suicide can't be raped a couple of months later?
Sordid, sordid, sordid. I hope the rape didn't happen for many, many reasons, but not least for how horrible this aftermath is if she was raped.
I guess I missed a few pages back but if this stuff is admissable in court, that she tried to kill herself not once but TWICE less than a year ago, her goose is cooked! Right or wrong, the defense will take that to the bank.
Yeah, you're probably right. -sigh- I mean, hopefully that will serve justice and all, but it would take a lot more than that to convince me that she was crying wolf.
one thing for sure -- the internet is making this case public, whether the parties like it or not

Prior suicide attempts will go to her state of mind. If I were Kobe's lawyer, I'd be working in court to get them admitted. If I were the prosecutor, I'd be telling the press that we no longer try our victims' backgrounds.
Yep, Reg, like it or not, this one is more or less being tried in the press. Sports Illustrated is very interesting - they certainly had to walk a very narrow line between support for someone who's been very cooperative to them and support for their ever-growing female readership. All the while, though, it's also the juiciest sports story of the year. SI must have gone over every syllable with a fine-toothed comb (I thought their reportage was very balanced).
