Last i read, the whales had moved two miles passed the Rio Vista Bridge, and are displaying signs of stress. Their injuries won't heal until they've reached the salt water of the bay. Worried. Did anyone hear news that the whales left the Rio Vista area yet?

sue, luved the photos of your house and property. So exciting! Sending good thoughts that you'll be moving to your new home soon.
So much room for kittens n' puppies. Very Happy

ehBeth, Laughing Priceless

Your welcome, Dan. Listen to the songs of Humpback whales at....

I really love the porch, sumac. Definitely good puppy and kitten territory there.

Back in the city, but Set's taken the dogs out adventuring in the ravine system today - and out to say "hey" to the neighbours.

I met Serena, the giant puppy, and her mom on my way to work and on my way home. Serena's getting very good at sitting and settling prior to getting my daily greeting.

She's going to be bigger than her peoplemom soon.

g'day wildclickers

Following the whale rescue, the animals are still at Rio Vista. Sad Piping both predador and pod sounds, rescuers hope the animals will resume their swim to the bay today.

The NBC news this morning showed them slapping their tails on the water - a possible sign of alarm.

Let us hope they make it.

At least the rescuers decided against innundating the whales with predator sounds. Adding to the stress of injuries, they certainly don't need hearing killer whale attack noises. jeeze

The Coast Guard plans a 500 yard buffer zone for the crowds expected for the opening day of boating season for the Delta - Memorial Day weekend begins tomorrow.

Hoping the whales will head out toward the Bay quickly!

Summer weather here also, ul. Decided against gardening and opted for sitting on the porch reading instead. Smile

Have a great trip!

Stay safe driving during the holiday weekend, wilclickers.

Rescue attempts today {fire hoses ?} Confused

The whales answer to water bubbles? They evaded the boats by heading up another tributary. Great

The next experiment will be an attempt to administer antibiotics to the whales.

{sigh}

What the whales need now is a miracle!

Heat records were broken for this date in my home town. 92 degrees F. in Boston this afternoon topped the previous record (set in 1931) by one lonely degree. And it feels it. Rolling Eyes

Two weeks from today, a small subset of the WildClickers will be meeting in New York City. Whooooooohooooooo!

Walter, Noddy and I will hopefully manage to enjoy some of the local greenery over the following couple of days.

Temps steady {90's} for about two weeks...and tomorrow we're looking at triple digits.

Snow at higher elevations though - and i saw a comical license plate that read "When Hell Freezes Over, I'll Ski There Too!"! Smiled seeing vehicles geared for summer - jet skis, boats - people shopping for the holiday.

Hope the whales fare well for the next few days also.

Stay cool, ya all!

Oh, my Gawd, Stradee,

I cannot believe what is happening in your area - except, that the same thing is happening all over the earth. Maybe we should have let Gore actually have the presidency in 2000...........He WAS voted in by the people. Over a half million of us........

Then, came the Bush family with all it's history of trying to change things to suit themselves. ie., a bunch of thieves.

Good Earthturn, wildclickers!

Dang, weather reports say no rain until after summer!

Whales are resting today. Very Happy

Dan, President Carter was taken to task by the administration for saying "bush was the worst president......." and of course he's correct although he did apologize for hurting George's feelings. tsk

Al Gore would have accomplished much as president - even with the political hamperings democratic presidents endure from the opposition.
We'll never know though since the Supreme Court didn't have a tractor available when they voted to elect gwb.

Nor the person that send the suggestion to the Coast Guard that rescuers should invite a Japanese Whaler person to the delta. Seems the Japanese have perfected the art of 'whale baiting'.

What Delta n' Dawn need is someone who speaks 'whale'! What they don't need is chasing, baiting, ship propellers, noisey boats, fishing nets...exactly what the mother whale is telling humans! HELLO!!!

{sigh}

ok, where's my scuba gear..........
