Gosh, I'm so proud of all Wildclickers.... We are a special group. There is no other group so special - so far........ Shocked So, all we have to do is take a minute each day and save one more tree. Somewhere in the world.

I think - as Martha Stewart would say - "It's a good thing."

Till later,

Dan

Home from dance class and clicking.

Each time I go to the studio I think of danon, and how much he'd like to meet Hannan :wink:

~~~~~
Still quite chilly here in Toronto. No snow today, but it's only been about 36 hours since the last snowfall. Unusual weather. Concerning.
Life is not a highway strewn with flowers,
Still it holds a goodly share of bliss,
When the sun gives way to April showers,
Here is the point you should never miss.
Though April showers may come your way,
They bring the flowers that bloom in May.
So if it's raining, have no regrets,
Because it isn't raining rain, you know, (It's raining violets,)
And where you see clouds upon the hills,
You soon will see crowds of daffodils,
So keep on looking for a blue bird, And list'ning for his song,
Whenever April showers come along.
And where you see clouds upon the hills,
You soon will see crowds of daffodils,
So keep on looking for a blue bird, And list'ning for his song,
Whenever April showers come along.
~~~~~~~

Back to a new thread. Thank you, Merry Andrew.

There are a lot of proverbs about April, mostly weather rules.
This one is known to most people:

Der April, der April, der macht, was er will" („The April, the April, does whatever it likes to do")

Some training for the wildclickers speaking German :wink:
Bald trüb und rauh, bald licht und mild, ist der April des Menschen Ebenbild.

Morning all,

clicked........

ul, I love the garlic !!!! We cook everything with it - or, so it seems...... Very Happy

ehBeth, When I saw the name Al Jolson - it brought back a tiny bit of trivia (I think, but, may not be sure) I seem to recall he voiced the first words on film when the talkies started in the movies. If so, the said something like, "You ain't seen nothing yet." Right he was. I'm probably wrong.

Morning, Dan.

You're probably quite right. Al Jolson starred in the very first "talking" picture, The Jazz Singer in 1926 or 1927. His big hit in that movie, though, wasn't "April Showers" but "Mammy," which he sang in blackface, quite common in the minstrel shows of those days.

Yesterday was an April kinda day. Drug out the thrimmer with 200 ft of electrical cords, had almost completed the task - with a happy grin and sense of accomplishment...then proceeded to trim the electrical cord clean through.... Embarrassed Shocked ...to the hardware store for cord fixin gadgets, got home just in time for a hale, thunder and a rain storm. Figured was saved from gettin' electrocuted and all...God is good.

ul, what a great photo! Looking forward to the summer Garlic Festival!

From the kitchen...pasta sauce with wine, garlic, fresh spices, onion, protabella mushrooms, olives, soy burger...

Dinner!!! Very Happy

Stradee, didja save some sauce for me? Sounds so good!

I tried to do the group email announcement for the new thread through care2, but it seems that whatever they fixed on the leaderboard didn't carry through to the messages section. Buncha pffffffffft.

S'ok. I was a bit sad as I had one more person not to send the note too. First anitaB, now JoanLee. It's hard to scroll past.

Stradee, You reminded me of a time a few years ago that I was mowing the lawn. Ahem, prior to burying the antenna line. At which time I was stopped completely by the sound of - ""The TV just went off!!" - I had cut the line..........

Oh, well. small fixes make wonders. Very Happy

Gardening sounds dangerous :wink:

What about this lawn mower?
[img]http://img83.imageshack.us/img83/3673/img0143jh5.jpg[/IMG]

And there was the man I watched cutting the lawn with a nail clipper. He sat there, cross legged, from dawn to sun set. Watching him was like meditating.

stradee, yes, Wild garlic (Allium ursinum) is very good. We prepared several jars of Pesto.

No cruel month here- sunny and warm.

Now that's my kind of lawn-mower, Ul. No labor involved. Just sit back and watch it do the work.

Gardening is definitely a Murphy's Law category kinda activity.

ul, now that's an idea! Will need to build a fence though...and still haven't figured out how to mend the skill saw cord yet. LOL

Dan, LOL - thank god i haven't obliviated sprinkler covers yet when the mower jumps the cement lawn guard! Horrific the sound of blades dragging on concrete - the forest becomes very quite...even the Jays look on with amazement!

Alls quiet when the herd gardens though

Speaking of deer critters....the babies are grown and healthy! Very Happy

Driving to work, the female can be seen foraging in the meadows, her bro is moved deeper into the forest though. Will be interesting seeing what portion of the herd returns during the Fall months.

Oh, and the finches have returned also! A bit windblown from the storms,
so i've moved the feeders closer to the house.

Determined lil' critters during winter months....

Yep - snow! Got the photo from the net.

The bird feeders for my finches are close to the house and sheltered from the rain and snow, and today the weathers freezing again! Appears they'll be more thunder and rain. Great for the new mulch/seed! Confused

Dan, the tropics have moved to Texas! Orchard weather! Smile

ul, nail clippers??? Laughing Zen gardening....
