Hi All.

Sumac! I haven't 'followed' you in ages. What a touching and scary story about the tortoises. Thanks. Hope your garden is growing in N.C.
:-)

We're in triple digits in mid-May here in Palm Springs, Ca. Summer looms.
My newlywed daughter, huband and my son's kids (the 'grandgirls'--they are WildClickers, too. ) arrive in early June for a visit. (I've started lifting weights to keep up with them ;-) )

WW, I remember a line from the Alda TV series of 'MASH' - it went, (to Radar of course) "Just say, 'Ah, Bach.'"
I am thinking now, "Ah, Fellini."
What a great and ironic sense of humor that man had.

Late, but, clicked - - - -

Howdy wildclickers!

We are busy arn't we? Yard work, work work, political news, global warming legislation rolling out of washington and states, dang - difficult keeping up...

Important animal legislation passed gw's desk without a veto. hurrah States passing global warming bills - and Ahnold will sue the FDA for not regulating toxic emissions. Nancy Pelosi may sue gwb for vetoing the Iraq bill. President Pelosi is doing a marvelous job, imo.

Late again today ~ Clickin' n' wavin' Very Happy

Good one Stradee,

IMHO, I agree with your assessment of the current - ahem, president......?

I am concerned with his poll ratings = in the 20 percent range?? Really bad - - - ultra bad..... No wonder his brother JEB pulled out of the recent election for Gov. of FL again - ((That was his fathers decision, - - - but, look out for Marvin Bush..............!!!!!!!!! That's dangerous for we people in the world.

I am contributing to Hillary's campaign and hope she is selected by the Democratic party as candidate. She certainly has my vote.

Very hot weather for California also, ehBeth. Concerned

Dan, 171 votes from the House yesterday for withdrawing troops beginning in three months - and completed in six months - less than 50 shy for passing the resolution. Nearly three out of four dems voted to end the war within that time frame. With the elections so close, and citizens speaking loud and clear, i suspect a candidate related to gw won't have much of a chance of winning their own state, let alone a national election. Oh, and next month, Bush Sr. is the headliner for the Washington Times 25th anniversary. Seems the chief moonie hissself donated a mil to the gwb presidential library fund.

Hillary's got my vote and support as well.

From CA - Barbara Boxer will run again for the Senate. Hurray!
I believe she, Nancy Pelosi and Dianne Feinstein have done a wonderful job for CA and the U.S. Senate. Dianne Feinstein authored the first Horseslaughter bill - and they all support most if not all important animal protection legislation. In March of 2007, a Federal Circuit Court esssentially made horse slaughter illegal by prohibiting the USDA from inspecting horsemeat for human consumption. Somehow, when the horselaughter bill passed the Texas legislature, a provision for banning inspections was not included. So the Senate, following the Federal Circuit Courts ruling passed a similar bill, preventing funds from being used by the USDA for the inspection of horse meat. no more horseslauter plants. S.311, The Horse Slaughter Bill now goes to the full Senate for a vote. Big smile for all our horses! Very Happy

More warm weather for the Sierras. Woke this morn to the sound of birds chirping, deer foraging, and kittens chattering. Critters fed, Stradee fixin' breakfast, then a busy day of shopping, errands, etc.

Tomorrow daughter visits. Very Happy
