Thanks, Tico, for a hard-fought match with the Rednecks in Week #1.

The managerial manipulation on Sunday was cool. We each had a bunch of SP's scheduled to go. I analysed the way things looked in our match-up and benched all of my SP's. Tico countered by doing the same with his. I counter-countered by putting one of mine back in. Tico responded by putting one of his back in. I think, but am not at all sure, that I may have earned one extra point. But it was fun.

Yes ... foiled again, I was. My pitcher (Zito) sucked.

Well done and congrats.

The Red-Sox-laden Boston Puppies are racking up the points as Seattle
gets spanked at Fenway. Manny Ramirez is my only Red Sox and he got
pulled for a PH. Ayah!

Oy, it was a shellacking. I think they may have considered digging up Ted Williams to see if he could get a hit.

And what a treat it was. Two great pitching performances. Think Felix can keep this up for the whole year?

Not at this level. But he can have a 20 wins, <3.00 ERA, 200 K season.

Another question. How many games will the Nationals lose this year?
My pick: 120

I think that sounds about right, FB. I was checking fantasy ranking the other day, and the magazine I was looking at had Washintons closer, Cordero, at something like 38 saves or something... only if he saves ever game they win...

Section 157 (Loge Box), just beyond third base.
I'll wear a hat so you'll know me.

Already?!?

Would it help if I changed my team name to "The Great GWB" when we match up?

Were you near the guy with the wolf hat?

He was sitting a few rows behind home plate, to the left if you were facing the batter.

I dunno. It just isn't as interesting as football, not at all.

Too much work to keep up with the schedules. I don't plan on making any further changes to my team at any point.

Unless my guys start kicking ass, that is. Then I was into the whole thing all along Smile

Just kidding. I won't give up on it yet, but I won't be very active either.

How does the DL work?

One of my players, Glaus, just went on the DL. I would have thought that
would free up a roster slot for me, but it doesn't. Is there anything I
have to do?

You have to place him on the DL yourself. Just like if you were going to change from the bench to first base for that player, but there should now be an option for the DL as well.
