@Ragman,
I don't know how like Lost they plan to get. But the gratuitous violence and unoriginal plot had me restless by about midway through.

@cicerone imposter,
We have had good rain this winter. But we have been in drought, summertime, for some years. Only, last year set a record and we are pridicted to have more of the same. This week we will have 70 degree temps every day.

@edgarblythe,
We mustn't forget Honest Abe; he was truly one of the most honest of men.

@cicerone imposter,
Honest? Lincoln fought the Lincoln County Wars and killed Billy the Kid by shooting him in the back. Didn't he?

@edgarblythe,
I never heard of that incident, but I did read about Abe, and how his honesty was well known by everybody who knew him.

I agree with you, CI. Lincoln truly was a great man.

Very funny, edgar.
Delightfully so.

809a. Making up documents that convert to ebooks is not easy for my simple mind to grasp. I just did about the fifth revision and submitted same. In four or five days I will learn if it was successful.
810a. My yard has gotten awfully still and dull, without the pesky squirrels. I miss the little beggars.
811a. I ponder the awful possibility that if it were not for Mit Romney, our choice for president would be limited to Paul/Obama or Gingrich/Obama. Mit is awful enough.
812a. This is the year I expect to turn seventy. In twenty or thirty years I may have to give up working. Well, if I gotta, I gonna.

813a. Newt Gingrich inspired a character in one of my stories. He long ago proposed that poor children be taken from their parents and placed in orphanages. Outraged, I came up with a character running a foster home, in a manner similar to the orphanage, in Oliver Twist. Never have liked or trusted Gingrich.
814a. It's E A Poe's birthday. When I was in high school, I had The Raven memorized. Today, I can only make it through the first two or three verses.
815a. I am gratified that the president rejected the Canadian pipeline. That project had boondoggle written all over it.
816a. They are cutting a new section of road, which will extend the road I drive to work to Hwy 249. Thanks. I needed the added traffic to slow me down even more. Have a tax hike, on me, to show my appreciation.

817a. If my latest revision of the ebook project fails, I will look to other avenues. I have made my final effort. Not due to being stubborn, but to my inability to follow instructions. Smile
818a. Three of our missing ducks returned yesterday. I made a video of our time in the park, but it makes a file too big to put in an email or Photobucket. I will make a smaller one later on.
819a. If the Republicans could come up with one candidate they truly believe in, the four men in the race would be gone in an instant.

820a. I plan to watch some football today.
821a. I read today about a company that provides "vagina wigs." Don't want to know any more details, as that's already too much information.
822a. I have books about writing scattered around. For instance, I see without moving, "Essentials of English" and "Freelance Writing." I rarely look into them, because it is not likely I will change my bad habits at this late date.
823a. It is Charlie Dickens' 200TH birthday, in February.
824a. My brother in law - The one that had a stroke - had a very good relation with his dog, a very small one that barked a lot. He still cannot walk. If he needed his wife for something, all he had to do was tell the dog about it, and she would go fetch her, without fail. The dog became ill a few days back and the vet put her to sleep. Don't know what it was.

@edgarblythe,
820a: You can bet your bottom dollar, my wife and I will be watching.
825a: I'm now reading "The Tale of Two Cities" on my Kindle. I have also visited Charles Dickens' home that is now a museum that displays his original manuscripts. Also had a few beers a Ye Old Cheshire Cheese on Fleet Street where he drank a few pints himself.

825a. If my thread about the president causes a few to re-examine their perceptions, it will have been worthwhile. Ultimately, each is responsible to form their own conclusions and to live in the edifice built using same.
826a. It is so like spring, here. Many plants have concluded it's time to bud and make ready for the coming summer. I had cut a limb off a pear tree, in late November and put it in a heap of dead limbs. Yesterday, I noticed, even it tried to bud, before maxing its capabilities.
827a. Looks to be a wet week, coming up. I hope it brings up the water table some more. We are still 25 inches of rain below norm.

828a. I found out why my ebook submissions have been rejected. My word documents don't have the proper header functions. I downloaded a free office program and I think I nailed it this eighth try.
829a. Got my income tax papers ready to file. Unless my math is wrong, I made a thousand dollars too much. Meaning I must pay taxes out of my SS checks.
830a. Newt says he wants humans permanently on the Moon and pushing to Mars. Money considerations aside, it's the first thing he ever said that appealed to me.
831a. The Houston Astros ball club may get a name change. The new owner said it is being considered. They have the current worst record in baseball. May I submit: The Pussywillows.
832a. I tuned in Alcatraz, last night. Then left the room and forgot about it.
833a. None of the democracy movements in Egypt, Libya and the like, have resulted in governments responsive to their people, as yet.
